Merry Pines Day and Happy Milestone Day MMC!
It’s going to be a nice day, sunny with a high of 75 degrees. I’m heading out soon, I have a doctor appointment to review some blood work results. Other than that it will be a typical day of errands & chores and dinner will be pasta with bolognese sauce. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day, see you tonight!
xx

Praying you received great results!

OH MY GOSH! That is so awesome. Let me tell you what my wife and I do on the 25th of each month. We call it "Mini Christmas". We keep out a small 3 foot tall Christmas tree in our living room all year long, and decorate it for each Holiday / Season, etc. On the 25th of each month, we give ourselves one "Christmas" present (under the little tree of course!), burn a Christmas candle or Christmas wax warmer, and usually watch a Christmas movie that evening. We also play Christmas music that day. It is a terrific reminder that Christmas is coming, and also serves the primary purpose of keeping me from getting the Post-Christmas Blues when all of the other house decorations come down and the place looks empty.

And the Christmas Blossom thread is awesome. We live 3 miles from a Hobby Lobby, and they had their Christmas stuff beginning to go out at the end of April / Early May. And it's grown in size every week since then. It's one of my favorite things to do in the spring, is start "stalking" the Hobby Lobby after Easter has passed. I more or less have it pinned down to the 4th week in April to the 2nd week in may. This helps me feel better as I realize that as sad is it may be in January when Christmas is over, I only have to weather (no pun intended) about 4 months with no Christmas stuff in the store. That's where Mini Christmas / Rudolph Day fills the gap/void for us.

Thanks for explaining to me. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME HERE!!

We do the tree too in my house! I LOVE all your other ideas. So neat and inspiring!

Happy Milestone Day and today is my 20th wedding anniversary! Can you believe only 3 more months until the big day!! Typical workday for me and tonight we are going to grill some steak. Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Belated 20th Anniversary!

I have been on Reddit since around 2017, and I was a lurker here for a long time, but not registered. Prior to that though, I was just basically on my own. As I mentioned, I am the only one in my family who is like this for Christmas. As long as I can remember, I have always loved Christmas and even today at 34 years of age, the joy of seeing a Christmas item or hearing a Christmas song in "the offseason" still makes my heart grow 3 sizes. I can remember being a kid going to the flea market, and seeing a Christmas tree or ornaments in the early summer and just totally going nuts. I wish I would have been on here for all of those "lost years" but the important thing is that I'm here now!

You're definitely in the right place then!

I've been feeling a bit depressed today - so I felt like it was time to get back on here and refresh my spirit with all these wonderful Christmas posts!

Welcome back, Art the Bookworm! Hope the site cheers you up!

Good afternoon ... Hard to believe we are just 3 months way from Christmas! Last night when I walked into our local grocery store they had their holiday baking section all set up and filled. It was great to walk into store and see a whole wall of shelves filled with all that goodness! Finally got all my apples process. Ended up with 8 jars of apple pie filling, 13 jars of apple sauce and 12 jars of apple butter. Canning season is now over for me. It's a lot of work but I love the end results. Well lunch break is almost over. Hope everyone has a great day!
From turkey to apple goodies, we definitely have Fall food on our collective brain pans... :D

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I took Nancy's car to get the oil changed yesterday afternoon, then we met our niece and her two boys at IHOP for Addams Family Pancakes. They were super! And super-sweet with all that cupcake icing and whipped cream. It was just about too much sweet for me, I have to say. Whew!

Tonight we're taking Jacob & Elizabeth to dinner.

Nancy and I are still planning a trip to the mountains this weekend (right where @mgramsey was yesterday). I can't wait to enjoy those cooler temperatures. It was 100° here yesterday, and it's supposed to be again, today. Ugh.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Enjoy dinner tonight! That's exciting you'll be getting away this weekend!

Welcome to our merry community! Glad to hear from you as we ramp up to the season. It is so close you can almost smell the pine from the freshly cut trees...

Good afternoon, merry friends! Back from our trip and caught up here. It was AMAZING and we had the time of our lives! I'll have to share a few pictures here later on. We took 100's and I can't wait to sit down and sort through them. I'm off work yet until Saturday. Hope you're all having a great day so far!

Good Thursday morning! Rain is moving in but temperatures are still very comfortable. A day off today filled with errands to run and chores to do. I also am working on a couple of projects for work, which can only be done at home on my computer, as at work we don't have any good enough software to make documents nor do we have a colour printer. I should be able to get everything done by early afternoon so I can enjoy the rest of my day off. Have a great day everyone!

I'll be spending half of my vacation day tomorrow finishing a project so I don't have to stare it in the face again next week. I'm doing a bit from home shortly so I won't have as much to do in the morning.

Hope you're enjoying your day.

Great news! Hope this continues for O’Malley!

Well, it hasn't panned out the way I thought it would. Twice he got it down and four times he didn't and then I felt guilty returning later in the day or after work to find he didn't eat any of his moist food. (He always has dry kibble around for such situations.) I'll try his meds again, but there must be something to the smell or taste that just doesn't fool him.

He doesn't seem to be moving as slowly as he was and he's approaching me constantly for hearty rubs so I'm guessing he's not in as much pain as I thought he was or he wouldn't let me rake his fur the way I do.

Yes you do have to share a few photos so we can share the joys. Bet you had a blast. Tell us more; what were the favourite parts of the exhibits, meals, travel, etc.?

I haven't been there since I was about ten years old. It's so different now.
