Just chowed on our annual Thanksgiving office lunch. The wise, among us, down an enjoyable, but not brimming plate. We still have work to do, this afternoon.
Plus, later on, falling asleep during physical therapy would be bad form.

We're having a merry work decorating party and pot luck next Wednesday.

I hope the chef who brought ham last time considers turkey this time.

I got a little sleepy from the heat pack when I was doing physio, but I couldn't fall asleep there.

We're still trying to get rid of the colds we got at the beginning of November. Mr. is seeing a doctor today, and I'm going Thursday. I'm taking Thursday and Friday as pre-Thanksgiving vacation days, so two more workdays to go (counting today, which hasn't really gotten under way yet. Strike that, the first job just hit my desk!).

I hope you both feel better soon!!!

I hope you can enjoy your time off and not be bogged down with a nasty cold. Good excuse to cozy up and watch some good old films.
That would be grand! But I will be working on Christmas projects so I can have time to cozy up with some good old films later in the season.
I hope you both feel better soon!!!
Thank you, Made!

I hate that you both are suffering so long. Praying for you both.

Happy Mid-Week Before Thanksgiving MMC! 1 week from today is my favorite day to go to work all year. I look forward to it all year. Today I'm just going to stay busy like I have the last couple of days, come home, and rest. Not quite too exciting but with the holidays coming soon I won't have time to rest :). Have a great Mid-Week Before Thanksgiving!

Have an extra helping of turkey and all the fixings for me next week.

+bHappy Wednesday / Hump / Pines Day

Unfortunately, O'Malley the cat and I will miss this trip to the Shispering Pines and the festivities Carl the camel has in store.

I have an overnight out of town and an all day workshop tomorrow.

Stay jolly and have an awesome day. +i

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

In a few hours, we'll reach the 25 year mark. Whew! Before I married my first wife (don't ask; big mistake), I tried to get Nancy to go out with me...and she turned me down! I asked her out a couple of times, and she said no. So, I went out with someone else, got married then divorced. THEN she was ready to go out with me LOL.

Anyway, I'm glad she did!

And it's Elizabeth's 19th birthday today, so we're all going out tonight (in between her play rehearsals).

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Wednesday morning! Pretty snowflakes falling this morning, it's relaxing. Last evening there was an alarm at work around 9:50pm and I had to go and check (twirling ceiling Christmas signs were the problem, I left everyone a note to take them down today). I was sleeping at that time and by the time I got back home, I couldn't fall back sleep until about 1am. But I awoke as usual around 5:50am, so it made for a short night’s sleep.

I’m currently doing some laundry and after walking Loki, I’ll have some grocery shopping to do. And I’m itching to bake again, I’m thinking of trying a recipe of cinnamon swirl cookies. If these turn out well, they’ll be a great addition to the Christmas gift boxes I make for family members each year.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Congratulations on your anniversary Bradmac! And what a wonderful story of how you and Nancy finally got together.

Good Morning, Thanksgiving Anticipators!
It's next week, you know.
(Precise details to follow after today's count presentation.)

The numbers:
Days to Thanksgiving: 8 (ONE WEEK from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 35 (FIVE weeks from TODAY!)

Closing in on the heart of the holiday season, Folks.
Can you feel it!

Steadily, day by day, we slowly warm up. Lots of sun here this morning and no sign of rain. Got all the leaves in front up before the last rainstorm but the back yard needs attention. (Needless to say, I would rather deal with dry leaves than wet ones!)
Currently, we see 47 degrees here at our parcel of MMC country.

Well, it's certainly mid-week once again which most certainly means 'Pines Day, which in turn mens Carl and crew get their weekly chance to shine. And this time of year, with the inn fully involved in the Christmas season, our friendly activities director shines like a brand new Christmas ornament!
(The only negative is that O'Malley cannot be present this week. Maybe next time.)
If you haven't been to the 'Pines recently, be sure to make time, because this is truly "don't miss" season.
(And plan to bring home a box of red and green frosted fired twinkies while you're at it!)
