We're still trying to get rid of the colds we got at the beginning of November. Mr. is seeing a doctor today, and I'm going Thursday. I'm taking Thursday and Friday as pre-Thanksgiving vacation days, so two more workdays to go (counting today, which hasn't really gotten under way yet. Strike that, the first job just hit my desk!).
I hope you guys get better soon!

Good Single Digits Morning, my Friends!

Yes, we are but NINE days away now from Thanksgiving, the next holiday in the chain.

The counts:
Days to Thanksgiving: 9 (Yep. SINGLE DIGITS, alright!)
Days to Christmas Day: 36 (FIVE weeks from tomorrow!)

And our next Milestone?
Wait----there aren't any more! The last one passed by yesterday.
There is nothing more between us and the full, unmitigated enjoyment of the holiday season!

Chilly with a spot or two of rain yesterday, but really not too bad. A bit bracing for outdoor work but there was no problem getting it all done.
A gradual warming trend is predicted, and by Friday we should be into the mid 60's.
This second day of the week commences here in mid-state rather damp, at 47 degrees.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!
Thanks Crown! I can almost smell the turkey roasting.

@Crown 84, thank you so much for counting down all year! You are greatly appreciated!

@Bradmac, Happy Anniversary to you and Nancy!
Congratulations on getting the leak fixed!

@AuntieMistletoeDear, Happy Birthday to your grandson!

@ballcoach, prayers for safe travel for you and your family!

@SnowflakeMom, prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery for your daughter!

@Christmasstar, praying you are better soon!

@MerryCarey, praying you and Mr. are better soon, too!

Good Morning MMC !

my second day home with the flu...annoying because I got the flu shot, I guess this strain was not included. I am starting to feel better so thankfully it was a short one (started on Sunday)
Work on gingerbread house is going very slow, hoping I can get it all done in time. It has to be taken to the competition site next Wednesday.
We do not have lights up outside yet because winter and very cold temps hit very early this year on November 13.

Happy Trudging Towards Turkey Tuesday MMC! We had a dreary chilly drizzly Monday. Today should be better. Plus it's Tuesday so that's automatically better than Monday. Turkey, Turkey, Turkey...that's all that I think about. Have a great Trudging Towards Turkey Tuesday!
Just chowed on our annual Thanksgiving office lunch. The wise, among us, down an enjoyable, but not brimming plate. We still have work to do, this afternoon.
Plus, later on, falling asleep during physical therapy would be bad form.

Thanks! Doc told Mr. he had a virus, but his lungs are clear and he's on the mend.
I see the doc on Thursday.

Our office Thanksgiving is on Monday. They supply the turkey and stuffing; the employees provide potluck for everything else. It's usually quite a spread!

Happy Birthday to your grandson!

Thank you; he's such a wonderful person. He's the one who became a lieutenant with his fire station last month and is engaged (with not date set, but I heard plans about engagement photos at Thanksgiving dinner).

Wow - you have more snow than I do; we had a few mild days so it disappeared in most places. The creek behind me has seen a mix of frozen and flowing sections.

Good luck with the Gingerbread competition - remember to share a photo of it with us.

Hope you feel better.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

Well, I got started on the water leak in my yard yesterday afternoon about 4:30, and I finally finished fixing it at 11pm. What a mess I had! I had a hole as large as our dining room table, the water was turned off to the house, and I was covered in mud and dirt and PVC glue, but it's done.

And I'm still scraping that dark blue PVC glue off of my hands, arms, face, etc. But we had water at the house when I was done. CONQUERED. DOMINATED.

For my next amazing feat, I'm going to give Lulu a bath.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Well done, sir. For some reason while I was reading your post, I pictured this image.

With a blend of this theme song for good measure...

I hope you can enjoy your time off and not be bogged down with a nasty cold. Good excuse to cozy up and watch some good old films.
