-reindeer- Happy Pines / Hump Wednesday -tree-

I watched the Hallmark film last night and most of it was filmed on the movie set that was designed in Powassan Ontario for various film crews.

Got a decent sleep and ready to roll with the 2" of snow that landed overnight.
The creek is somewhat frozen, but only a slight dusting of snow, it didn't drop below -4 all night that explains why I had the window open three inches and the fan on #2 (it can go up to 12).

O'Malley cat is resting beside me and is eager to go to the Pines tonight.

Stay Jolly +i

Happy Mid-Week December Style MMC! Yesterday was a blur at work. This time of year is so busy for me. I think that makes the Christmas Season go faster. But I cherish the evenings when I go home and can put a Christmas show on with my Christmas tree. Have a great Mid-Week December Style!

Good Wednesday morning! I’m ready for my day off tomorrow already. Some work weeks are like that. I only stayed awake long enough to watch half a Christmas show yesterday. I’ll finish it this morning as I work the afternoon/evening shift. Nothing better than having the tree lit up and Loki sleeping in my lap while watching something Christmassy. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Good morning and Happy Pines Day!
I'm loving all the Christmas activities going on at night and on the weekends now. The spirit of Christmas fills the air. We're having our Christmas parade this weekend. Our church is located near the center of the parade route and we'll be serving free popcorn and hot chocolate. Always a crowd favorite. Have a blessed day and I'll see you all at the Shispering Pines tonight.

Good Morning, Mid-Weekers!
"Mid-Week." That rings a bell. It has significance. I'll need to think about it a bit. Hmmm....

In the meantime, consider this:
Days to Christmas Day: 21
And also consider that Christmas will be here THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY!
Zounds!

Still quite chilly yesterday, but at least the wind subsided such that the leaves weren't blowing back in my face as I tried to move them closer to the street for the city pickup.
Today and the following two will see us in the mid 50's with no rain and plenty of sun.
Our reading of the moment is 39 degrees, here.

Ah! Now I remember!
Mid-week is 'Pines Day and Carl is ready as always with the inn now in full Christmas mode as you might expect from our holiday-crazy but friendly activities director.
Now, right on through Christmas, will be highly festive times at our inn of choice and the very best time of the year to visit.
I hope to see you there this evening, munching on a red and green frosted fired twinkie.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!

Thanks Crown! Happy Mid-Week December Style!

This morning was in the 40s. Very cold for coastal Florida. I had an eye appointment at 9 and I wore a sweatshirt, sweatpants and heavy jacket. Good thing because their office felt as cold as the outdoors. It looks like my whole month of December will be spent on preparing for lens surgery, having lens surgery, and aftercare from lens surgery. I needed to get it done by the end of the year for tax purposes.
Hope all goes well with lens business and that the recovery is speedy quick...As for the sweatshirt weather, treasure it while ye may...and remember it next September when the wet towel humidity slugs you on the way out the door.

You must have an unusually talented tree. Mine has never even hummed a little, let alone shared the stage with me.

SoCal cool at 55 today. It's been raining since I drove in at 5:30am. The weather is very holidayish for us.

Regular work day. We're supposed to be getting together to review and tweak the 2020 forecast numbers, but so far we haven't **shrug**

Enjoy!

It's still too cold for me here in Florida. I do appreciate the sun being out. It's about 60 now. I had a facial today and the table was heated. It was wonderful. The lady who does my facials is also a licensed massage therapist so my monthly "treats" usually are part massage, part facial. I feel so much better than before I got on that table.

Happy Wednesday to all.

My church had a huge, real Advent wreath hanging from the ceiling on Sunday. Each week we will light one candle until the big day. On Christmas Eve, the church will be in full decor for Christmas.

Just got back from the doctor and I have bronchitis. I had pneumonia back in May and they are afraid this will turn into pneumonia again due to my other health issues so I was given antibiotics and ordered to rest in bed the next few days. Trouble is, my husband and I had tickets for really good seats for a Circue de Soleil Christmas show tonight. I ended up giving them to my brother's girlfriend so she can take our 8 year old niece. I'm glad she will get to go but I was really looking forward to a night out!! But, my husband pointed out that me sitting close to all those people is not a good idea, and sadly he is right! I hate that he can't go now because of me but he is very good about stuff like this! And I keep telling myself, 3 days in bed with bronchitis beats 2 weeks in bed with pneumonia right before Christmas so I guess I will choose the lesser of two evils! And, I will hold on to the fact that my niece may really enjoy the show tonight and that makes me happy! Think I will make grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner; if I am stuck in bed I might as well eat warm comforting food! Hope everyone has a safe and happy day!

That doesn't sound very merry; take the advice and let yourself heal up so it doesn't get worse.

It's disappointing you can't go to the concert, but you can still come to the Pines; we'll make an oxygen tent for you.
