COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING 2020: 316 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO NOVEMBER 2020: 291 DAYS
COUNTDOWN TO THE BERS 2020: 230 DAYS
Happy End of 1st Half of January! Mid-January already huh? Feels like it was just November and we were all getting excited for the BIG day. What day is that? It's the first day in our countdowns above. See. We have 316 (Stone Cold) days until Thanksgiving. We also have 291 days until November. And we have 30 days till the Bers which means we're 1 month away from the huge 200 marker. That's crazy. All 3 counts look good to me here in the middle of January with no rushing really even needed. We are 1 day closer to all 3 of those goals today than we were yesterday. That's a nice thought isn't it? Thanks for those pics CW yesterday getting my appetite worked up. Unfortunately I didn't have turkey (yet). But it may be coming soon to a weekend near me. Tomorrow look out for our bi-weekly poll on another Thursday. Have a great End of 1st Half of January!

I tried a turkey sandwich tonite. Got 2 bites into it, had to go fix something and the youngest decided to finish it for me.

Happy Middle Day of January! What a wonderful time of the year it is. Why? Well there's still (some) Christmas lights out there. It's definitely less than it was a week ago but I'm still enjoying those last ones that refuse to take them down. Props to you. Countdown(s) time. 315 days until Thanksgiving; 290 days until November; 229 days until the Bers. How do those 3 sound to you? Well while you ponder those 3 countdowns today is also Thursday so let me mention Thanksgiving is 45 weeks from today so just like that we have gone halfway from 50 to 40. Nice. And today it's my Bi-Weekly special post here so I'll ask this Thanksgiving poll for you this week: What's your favorite "side" to have at Thanksgiving dinner?
My answer: Cranberry Sauce & Biscuits (what can't I say 2 are tied?).

Yep!! Stuffing w/gravy on it. My grandma used to make a cornbread stuffing that was absolutely the best. I never did learn how to make her cornbread to use for the stuffing because it differed from her regular stuff. I cant even remember how long she let it dry out now.
Stuffing is my favorite too. If I could only perfect my mom's recipe.

Happy 2nd Half of January! It's not only the 2nd half of January folks but it's FRIDAY! That's extra awesome. And I noticed something interesting about upcoming Fridays by our countdowns. We have 314 days till Thanksgiving and 289 days till November. What about the Bers? We have 228 days till the Bers. So what do I notice about Fridays from the countdown? In 2 weeks we'll reach the 300 day marker to Thanksgiving (on a Friday, of course) and in 4 weeks we'll reach the 200 day marker to the Bers (on a Friday as well). See? A couple of big winter Fridays coming up as we head right into the heart of winter now. Extra stuff to look forward to on those Fridays. That Bers count really is already almost a little too low for my liking. But that's the cool thing about it. I'll definitely be craving spring soon if this winter wind keeps up that we have today. It's too early though huh? March 19th is far away (the beginning of spring this year). Have a great 2nd Half of January TGIF!

Its kind of odd because I rarely eat turkey sandwich meat. There is only 1 type I like and can never remember who makes it when I hit the lunch meat counter.Maybe this week's bi-weekly Thursday poll will be "How many pounds of turkey will CW consume from January through Thanksgiving?"

Happy Taking Down the Tree! Oh yeah that's what I'm doing today and the amazing thing is I had it up since a certain day we love here...THANKSGIVING! Oh yeah it always comes back to Thanksgiving doesn't it? Yes indeed it does. We have 313 days until Thanksgiving (speaking of that most awesome day of the year). We have 288 days until November (which ushers in that most awesome time of year). And finally we have 227 days until the Bers return (which brings us back "home" and leads us on the road to all the most awesome things of the year). These 3 counts are so important which is why we have them every day right here around the same time. And I appreciate all you turkey fans who follow the count and throw in your comments. No turkey for me today but maybe a meatloaf tonight. Not too bad but not quite turkey. Have a great Taking Down the Tree Saturday!

Meatloaf sounds perfect for a January day, and I think comfort food is a great idea for Taking Down the Tree day! I am trying a new Beef and Noodles recipe in the slow cooker, again not quite turkey but nice to smell cooking as I spend some time cleaning and crafting!
