Them counts are looking pretty good already!

Morning Halloween Fans! Thankful for this thread. Halloween as I have mentioned was my first love of any holiday really. October is always in my heart and soul even in the month of January. Have a great day!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 301
DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 269
DAYS TO HALFOWEEN: 117
DAYS TO JOL DAY #1: 28

Good Sunday Morning! Nice to see all of the counts moving along today.

We are on the doorstep now of the 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN, which we will reach TOMORROW. A fantastic way to start the new week, if I may say so myself.

While I was out at the grocery stores over the weekend, it made me happy to see all of the Valentine's Day candy and merchandise fully stocked now. Why? Because seeing those little candies, in a way, is like our own little "road map" to when we can reasonably expect to see Halloween Candy and goods back in the store:

January: Valentine's Day Candy

Mid-Late February: Easter Candy

Aug/Sept: HALLOWEEN CANDY

So if previous year's retail trends hold true for 2021, then as I write this today, we should spot our first signs of Halloween candy right at the same time we are getting ready to welcome in THE BERS. Of Course, I will likely see Halloween stuff in shops before the candy, which is always great. I think it was late July, early August, when I saw Halloween stuff go out at Lowes!

I hope all enjoy their Sunday!

That 300 milestone will be a nice pick-me-up tomorrow morning when I resume work. I'm hoping I wake up early enough to get a walk in and then jump in here to celebrate. If not, though, I'll check in around lunch time for sure.

Believe it or not, I'm already seeing Easter candy on display at some places side-by-side with the Valentine's candy. I ventured into CVS on Thursday to see if they still had any holiday Sprite left (they did not...grumble grumble...), and they already had a half-aisle of Easter stuff out. I haven't checked the calendar to see when Easter falls this year, but hopefully the candy sighting means that it isn't as far off as I think!

The 300 Days until Halloween will be an awesome way to start a Monday. I love these milestones. They help so much in keeping my mind/heart focused on the great things to come next fall.

I like your candy road map. :)

We need a Fourth of July candy. Maybe the Bomb Pop! :p

Morning Halloween Fans! It is another week. And another spooky week here if you love Halloween in this thread. We had a little snow last night. Let's keep the Halloween mood here. Have a great day!

Good Morning Folks! Happy Monday, but most importantly, HAPPY MILESTONE DAY!

That's right, today we hit the magic 300 day window to Halloween, and beginning tomorrow, we no longer have any counts that are in the 300's! That my friends, is the real proof that we are getting it done!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday, as most of us are back to work today, and now "the grind", or as our friend Edge would say, "The Ride". And that Ride takes us safely to our destination now, THE BERS.

"There's Only 300 Days To Halloween, Charlie Brown!"

I'd seriously watch that TV special. Alas, today I'll just have to settle for listening to the soundtrack for "It's the Great Pumpkin" (which is not really settling at all since it's such great music)!

And tomorrow all of our Halloween-flavored counts will be in the 200s. That's reason enough to celebrate and to appreciate how far the "bonus months" have brought us.

I wonder if I can sneak in some Halloween decorations today without my wife noticing...

I haven't had a Bomb Pop in forever, but let me be the first to fully endorse your candidate!

Morning Halloween Fans! Hope you all had a great 1st day "back to normal" after the 2 week crazy holiday stretch we had. I do miss it but it feels good to have the build begin again. Let it go slow! Have a great (and spooky) day!

Good Morning Friends! And just like that, all of our counts are now below 300. Just amazing.

Save some of the excitement though, because we still have TWO MORE milestones to reach, in this month alone!

As I always tell folks, whenever we can get counts out of the 300's, we are doing something.

Have a great Tuesday!

I'm OK with it being slow right now, but Edge, can we please speed things up around June - July? Summers are just miserable here, weather-wise.

As promised, I broke out "The Great Pumpkin" soundtrack yesterday to celebrate hitting the 300 day mark, and it made me realize that while I enjoyed the Halloween vibes it gave me at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon at work, it's honestly not one of my favorite Vince Guaraldi soundtracks. The Halloween version of "Linus and Lucy" is great with the added flute, "Graveyard Theme" and "Trick or Treat" are nice exclusives, and "Great Pumpkin Waltz" is probably my favorite Fall/Halloween song ever, but the rest of the soundtrack falls way short of expectations. "Red Baron" gets a scant 18 seconds of play, and most of the other tracks are just clips no more than 10-20 seconds long.

Don't get me wrong; it was just what the doctor ordered yesterday, but it also had me longing to listen to some other Peanuts soundtracks. "It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown" is probably my favorite (behind "A Charlie Brown Christmas," naturally).

Alright, now that I've veered way off-topic...look at those beautiful counts all under 300 now! By the end of January we'll break through the 100s barrier to Halfoween. Did I mention that this was my favorite count right now?

Morning Halloween Fans! It's pretty amazing how we all still think of Halloween in January. A friend of mine told me yesterday his kids asked when can they decorate for Halloween! Chips off the old block! Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday folks! Being at hump day on the first week of JANUARY sure is a good feeling. I am almost at the first mini-goal that I set for myself, and that is the mid-point in the month! I figure if I can get that far, by the mid-point, there are so many milestone dates near the end of the month, plus "the good stuff" like Tom Turkey Day, Rudolph Day, coming up that will take my focus.

How is January going for the rest of you? How is the time passing? Fast? Slow? Have a happy hump day!
