This seems like a slow week to me, but that's likely because we've already passed our first set of milestones, and now there's some time to wait before we reach the next few. I know they will be worth the wait though.

Good Morning! Almost at the end now of our first full week of January. Time this month just seems to go at its own pace. Not too fast, not too slow. But at a unique pace. I don't think any other month has a pace quite like this.

Hope everybody has a great Thursday! Just think, next week at this time, we will be almost at the MID point to the month!

Morning Halloween Fans! Hope your week has gone well. I mentioned it yesterday but I did see Michael Myers new movie (a little clip and story on it). And I re-watched it yesterday. Just makes you smile thinking about what we have ahead of us for Halloween fans. Have a great day!

Awesome, Edge! There's been so many times I've wanted to turn on "Halloween", or something else in my Halloween season collection, but I've fought off the urges because I want to keep that stuff special for Jack O Lantern Day, Halfoween, etc. I worry that doing it whenever I want might cheapen the "special days", BUT, I worried about that too that maybe I was doing "too much" Christmas throughout the year, only to learn that those worries were all in my head.... so Anyway:

Happy Friday Folks! I wish that this was one of those Fridays that led us into a magical October weekend...Scary Movies playing nonstop on TV, pumpkin spice everywhere, candles, Jack O Lanterns, etc.. We can dream of those October Fridays like I do. Thoughts of our favorite Holidays, and the last 4 months of the year are always on my mind.

I hope that everyone enjoys this Friday!

Thanks to a suggestion from @LadyLynn, I now present you, fellow Halloween enthusiasts, with what I hope will become a weekly tradition in this thread: The Seasonal Candy of the Week!

Now, seeing as we are a tight-knit community here, I don't want to keep this as my own tradition, so if anyone wants to contribute and post a Seasonal Candy of the Week, let me know and I'll gladly hand over the mic for you to take the stage any week out of the year. Also, the day of the week that we do this is still undecided; I'm starting this on a Friday, but it's already kind of the end of the week, so maybe we move this to Tuesdays or Wednesdays or something? Whichever day you all prefer.

Anyway, enough jibba-jabba, as Mr. T would say. Let's get right to it. This week's pick actually debuted in December, but since it's not a Christmas-specific candy I cheated a bit and will carry it over into January. I tried one of these last month before I started my diet, and it quickly became a favorite. It's the Mocha + Dark Chocolate KitKat!

I could have easily chosen a Valentine's candy, but I ultimately decided against it since we're still in the first week of January and have plenty of time for that. Instead, this is a candy that feels like it belongs in Winter. If snack size bags of this existed, I could easily finish one on my own.

Fun fact: KitKat is owned by Hershey's here in the US, but in the rest of the world they are owned by Nestlé. I have never tried a Nestlé KitKat, but I've heard they are so much better tasting than what we're used to in the states.

Seen them but haven't tried them yet. I'm still digging out of my Halloween clearance candy. Two bags of Kit Kat Witch's Brew and a bag of Kit Kat Pumpkin Pie.

My question is, for January, would hot chocolate bombs be considered a candy?

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Once this weekend is over, we will be cruising towards the MID POINT of January, and we will also have some more MILESTONES in our sight! Speaking of Milestones, today is 350 days until Christmas, It is kind of neat how everything is falling into place now and rolling along. January....pffft, we've got this!

And by the way @The_Escalation, I love the Candy of the week idea. Do it on whatever day you feel is best. This is EVERYBODY's thread here, the more stuff that is contributed, the better the thread becomes, IMO!

Happy Saturday everybody!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Last day of the weekend before we go back to "The Ride" tomorrow, but i'm not too worried because the 1st week of January went by well, and now we have the MID WAY point firmly in our sights, so life is good!

Also, this week will be the last week of this month that we don't celebrate a Halloween-related milestone! Amazing! Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans! Well another day closer to Halloween. Oh that kind of happens every day doesn't it? Well I was thinking how when we take the lights down very soon (if not already) for Christmas the next time some people will decorate won't be till October. Crazy huh? Have a great day!

Yep, last year was our first time putting out Halloween lights. So If I am going by that logic, it is only 264 days until I put up lights again :)

I put up a small amount of pink mantle lights and a wreath for Valentine's Day plus an outdoor flag. For Easter I have a few indoor decorations including translucent egg lights. I even have lights and decorations for St. Patrick's and Fourth of July. Yes, I may go a bit overboard.

I saw a great shirt--couldn't get the copy and paste to work though--that says OHD--obsessives Halloween disorder. It should totally be be the official shirt for this thread.

Good Morning and Happy Monday! There is something special about heading into the mid-way point of January with our sprits still high.

I wrapped up my Sunday here by taking down all of my remaining outside decorations and lights. I thought to myself how great it was that I put up Halloween lights last year, and I was thinking about improving on that for this Halloween season. That being said, in 262 days, I can put up those Halloween lights again!

Have a great Monday!
