Thanksgiving 2021 Thread

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 121
Happy May Week! Oh yeah folks it's a new week and you know what that means. It's Monday. And you know what that means. We have a weekly countdown to get to. First let's do the 3 daily counts. We have 206 days till Thanksgiving, 182 days till November, and 121 days till The Bers. Our next milestone will happen on Sunday (Mother's Day) when we reach the 200 Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. That will be a big one indeed on a big day in its own right. Now I did mention it's Monday (in case you didn't realize it) so let's do our weekly countdown to Thanksgiving Week (the best week of the year). It stands now folks at 29 weeks. YIKES! Can you believe that? Into the 20s we plunge and imagine in 3 weeks folks we'll reach the HALFWAY point to Thanksgiving Week. Oh goodness gracious. I'm glad we haven't reached the top of that mountain yet as things will get scary from there as we begin our slide downhill. Anyway, let's focus on today. Have a great May Week!

Happy Merrily May! We all feel merry this month of May I'm sure. I already see the comments about how this is an exciting month. It is. Any time you're on the "other side" of the year of a specific holiday it's exciting. And we are indeed in that spot/situation for Thanksgiving this month of May. We have 205 days left until Thanksgiving, 181 days to go until November, and 120 days remaining until The Bers. Our next milestone? It will happen on Mother's Day Sunday which will be the 200 Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. That will be our final 2's count EVER in this thread. That might shake you up a bit as it has done to me. May is always the month where I start to think geez slow down already. We have plenty of time though to go. Tons of it. Let's just keep all 3 counts in the triple digits for a while shall we? I know everyone is noticing that Bers count quietly. Let's keep it that way for now. Have a great Merrily May!

I will do my best to not point out that Bers count! Sorry, it's exciting though! But that's what we've got the Bers thread for! 200 Day milestone THIS WEEKEND is going to be another great day!
I'll try, Edge, but I'm not making any promises. That's a count that I want to shout from the rooftops! I can probably hold my tongue until we reach the 100 day marker though.

My 2021-22 School Year Planner/Calendar is arriving tomorrow and I can't wait to start filling in all of the milestones for August-December! I feel a bit ahead of the game right now and I am hoping to keep the ball rolling and be able to be ready to enjoy the Bers, Halloween, Thanksgiving Week, Thanksgiving, and the Christmas season. I will try to quietly keep an eye on the Bers countdown, but it is going to be difficult!
That's the big key to me...that marker which will happen later this month!

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Well folks here we go another middle of the week here in early May. It's a day some celebrate as it is Cinco De Mayo. Now let's look at our 3 countdowns this morning as always. We have 204 days to go until Thanksgiving, 180 days remaining until November, and 119 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone? Oh you know what that is...it's on Sunday which is Mother's Day. We will celebrate the 200 Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. That will be a huge one for sure as we say farewell to the 2's counts forever in this thread. I don't know what else more I need to say about that but it will happen in 4 days from now which is when Sunday is of course. The Bers count well we all are seeing it and that will be a topic soon enough. One step at a time though. That's the only way to enjoy the long ride. It's been fun already and we're not even halfway done with this thread thankfully. It's been great. Tomorrow? It's poll time. I'll come up with a good one for all of you I hope. Now that we are in May, my "All year" calendar that I keep of milestone dates and such for the various occasions, has been updated and printed out. I keep it on my desk here at work, so I'm always aware of what is coming up / close by! And the very FIRST thing on that list, is the 200 days to Thanksgiving! Just a few more days now, I can't wait!
I couldn't take it any longer and I started watching the 2014 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Monday night. I miss Thanksgiving.
I know. I'm weak. But I just couldn't stand it any longer. I had to get a little fix to carry me a little further.

I forgot to point out, with yesterday being May 4th , (May the 4th be with you), They were playing the original Star Wars movies on TBS. That is a film series that always makes me think of Thanksgiving / The Holidays! That along with Lord of The Rings! I watched a little bit of The Empire Strikes back, and that's all I could think of was Thanksgiving! They usually play those around here right before Thanksgiving.
Funny how certain years of the parade stick in your mind. I don't remember much about the 2014 parade, but I remember 2008. Someone should make a list ranking the best Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades.
