I know "My Little Christmas" because once a few years back it was the very first Christmas merch that my local Hobby Lobby put out. I have had a soft spot for it since then.

My love for them started because I have always been fascinated with miniature Christmas stuff, the tiny figurines, the little porcelain houses, and small Christmas trees. I remember when I bought my first small tree many years ago, that I keep at my office during Christmas season, I picked out the first set of ornaments for it from Hobby Lobby. And browsing their selection of "my little Christmas", i fell in love immediately.

I'm starting to receive orders with October delivery dates on them. I love it!

Same here. I am seeing service dates now in our system that have BERS DATES on them, and that just makes me so happy, knowing they are now close enough that they are starting to show up in the system. The little things....

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 148
DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 118

Happy Saturday! I had a good evening and settling in for a scary movie always makes me think of Halloween Season. We almost take it for granted in October, when there is scary movies on 24/7. But it really is part of my routine, finishing up dinner, and then settling on the couch with the scary movies on in the background.

Hobby Lobby is really kicking it out now on Fall Stuff. I saw many more tubes of Christmas ornaments too, but so far, no "my little Christmas" yet.

Have a great Saturday, friends!

It won't be long now before we start seeing these again:

Oh Yes. One of the things we always do during the ramp-up to "Halloween Season", is try and determine where Spirit Halloween will be coming to our town. We have so many abandoned shopping centers and stores, you never know where they may show up!

Morning Halloween Fans! I found online that the Horseman Hayride (not my Halloween trail) says they plan to be back this year to normal. It's the thing I was trying to do last year but obviously everything was pretty much canceled. Have a great day!

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The weather yesterday was just absolutely a scorcher. 90 degrees and very high humidity. I figure this is the way it is gonna be now for probably the next two months. We are lucky that generally by the time you get to August, it's still hot, but that couple of degrees and decreasing humidity really make a difference. Even when I let the dogs out last night before going to bed, there was none of that Bers-like cool, it was still 84 degrees at 10 PM! Made me naturally long for The Bers.

Tomorrow I have another post planned about something special to me. I plan on doing these once weekly until we reach the summer Solstace. So that's 2 more "special" posts. Wow, it really is coming up soon.

Have a great Sunday!

Since the mask mandate has been dropped in my state, it took about 3 weeks, but I can say now, just about every where I have went, there are almost no warning signs / stickers on the floor, etc., and the best part is almost NO ONE is now wearing masks anymore. You see someone here and there, but in no means is it widespread like before. In fact, all of this weekend I didn't even think about COVID. It really felt like a normal weekend. It felt good. I really don't want to declare "mission accomplished", but we are headed that way, and I think that nobody has anything to worry about as far as this upcoming Holiday Season being like last year.

WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 16
WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 20

Good Morning Halloween Friends! There's something spooky going on with our weeks count this morning! Weeks to Halloween is now 6 days away from getting a "1" in front of it! We will soon get to see 1's in front of both counts for the next little while. Seeing both counts begin with 1 is always fantastic. We are marching towards some more special days now. The Summer Solstice is just 13 days away now. Which means we are officially and exactly TWO WEEKS away from the days starting to get shorter, a big deal in this thread. Two days after that, we welcome in the 100 Days to October milestone!

Which brings me to today's special topic. It's no secret that each year I long for the day after the Solstice. The fact that the days are getting shorter little by little is a huge comfort by that point, as I am usually knee deep in battling the heat and trying to "survive" until my beloved Bers. The first thing I do each year, is share my "weeks until meme", on the threads on this site, as well as my social media feed. I get a mixture of cheers and jeers from my Facebook friends, it's mostly cheers here on MMC. And once that is done, I start looking in earnest for signs of the coming Fall. I do most of my roadwork / exercise at a local Wetlands preserve / park, and I make sure to look each day at the leaves and trees to see any signs of Fall coming. Last year, I was able to spot my first batch of leaves beginning to turn for the season in late July! And when I do my running at night because the heat is too hot during the day, sometimes I can catch one of those "Bers Sunsets" (Think beautiful deep purple, red, etc). I got one last year at the end of June. It was such a great feeling.

So how about you guys? Do you do anything different after the Solstice passes and the days begin getting shorter? I figured we all have our own routines, and it involves more than just waiting for Halloween candy to show up in the grocery store! Have a great Monday!

After the Summer Solstice, it's time to start looking for Pumpkin Spice products at the grocery. I can never get enough.

Same. Although I couldn't wait until after the solstice this year. I probably should've.

I don't look so much for Halloween candy (even though I do keep an eye out) as I do the Fall coffees. There is a seasonal Maple Pecan blend that is my absolute favorite that I try to stock up on, and I also start looking for the Starbucks Fall Blend (even though it gave me headaches last year) as well as any pumpkin spice varieties.

Of course, I usually spot Halloween candy before seeing any of these coffees...

And yes, I do start comparing the times of the sunsets after the solstice to see how much shorter the days are getting. I'm a crazy person.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Well today is a Milestone day for us Christmas lovers. The big 200 Day Milestone. One of my personal favorites. It really does seem like we are hitting more and more milestones quicker and easier.

We have good stuff coming up in here as well over the next two weeks. First, the Summer Solstice, which I mentioned yesterday, just 12 days away, and then 3 days after that, we have the 100 Days to October 1st milestone. Even though we are about two weeks out from that, let me tell you I got the feels just now thinking about being under 100 days to October again.

I know we will all be laser focused on The Bers and October once we get past the Summer Solstice. Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans! I had a bad dream last night not like a Halloween scary dream (that'd be a good thing lol). But I'm glad it was just a dream. Have a great day!
I hate that. Sometimes the emotions/feeling from those dreams can stick with you all day. I hope they pass quickly.
