Yeah, indeed a big day at the 200 days til Xmas mark. And 100 days til October is right around the corner. For the 200 marker (for some unknown reason) I always watch Scrooged. Which I guess is ok to post here since it does contain some horror elements! Have a good day all.

It's been a while since we've lived in the present, so for this week's Seasonal Candy of the Week, let's take a look at what Hershey's been up to while we were busy previewing this year's Halloween candy.
And it looks like they've been up to losing their ever-loving minds:
Yep, you're looking at the newest KitKat flavor, Fruity Cereal, which is supposed to be on store shelves...now, in fact. I gotta say, ever since the pandemic started Hershey's has been throwing out some ridiculous new KitKat flavors, and to be honest, I kinda like it. KitKat is owned by Nestlé overseas, and they've been doing the crazy flavor variety for quite a while now, so it's nice to see Hershey try a little harder.
Now, that being said: These just don't look like my bowl of cereal. Hershey's gets points for imagination, but if I'm looking for the ultimate KitKat flavor, it's gonna take more than Fruit Loops to reel me in. What do you all think? Is this a flavor you'd try out, or does it leave you feeling like a bowl of soggy cereal? Let's discuss this and all of the other KitKat possibilities today in the thread!

I have to be honest, this sounds like it would be absolutely disgusting lol.
I like that they're trying new stuff, but their flavor choices lately have been questionable at best. The only one that has even remotely piqued my interest has been the Key Lime Pie flavor, and I haven't been brave enough to try it yet.
I'm sticking with their Duos (Mocha + Dark Chocolate) flavor for now.
I did try the Key Lime Pie KitKat and the best that can be said it I tried it. It was way too sweet. I am a lover of anything lime so I had high hopes, which were unceremoniously crushed.
As for the fruity cereal? I don't like fruity cereals in the first place so in a candy bar, I would be in the bowl of soggy cereal cold camp thank you very much.
I could get down with a blueberry tart one but what I would really like is for caramel to be in between the cookies. Now that would be a KitKat!!!!!!!

Happy Wednesday, Halloween Friends! For a "long" week, it sure seems like it is moving along. I won't complain. We finally got some rain last night and it cooled things down. Looks like the next 8 days will be unseasonably cool. Low 70's and 50's overnight. More September weather than October weather, IMO. But wonderful nonetheless.
This cool weather stretch will help leap frog me through June. It is a folly to believe that I can enjoy cool temperatures around here through most of the month, but any little bit helps. We know July is going to be hot and humid and horrid. But there is also a sense of satisfaction knowing that facing July, we are taking the worst the summer has to offer, and knowing the inevitable cool down is coming around 50 days later, give or take.
11 days now to go until the Solstice, and today marks exactly TWO WEEKS now until our next milestone, the 100 Days to October window.
Keep a Halloween thought in your head today, friends! Have a great Hump Day.

I have been in a Halloween mood all day. Treated myself to some time on Amazon looking at Halloween stuff. I think I needed that after Hobby Lobby let me down two days ago.
