It looks like SyFy has popped the cap early on "31 Days of Halloween", and starting tonight at 8PM. I'm tuned in. They are kicking it off with Friday the 13th! We will talk more about it tomorrow I'm sure, but there is really nothing else like having a whole month of great scary movies every night, and just lounging around watching them!

With the help of a friend I was able to get the Great Pumpkin backdrop taped together (I don't think I could have done it alone)! It is far from perfect but I am 10 days away from the Great Pumpkin Hunt and I am starting to get excited!!!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 30

Good Morning October Lovers and Halloween Friends! We have done it. We have once again reached the month of October! This is indeed the month for all things spooky and scary. We have pined away at countdowns now for many weeks and months, and our reward this morning is seeing our countdown now have only one remaining line - Days to Halloween.

Folks, at my house, "Halloween Lights" are going up either tonight or tomorrow. I'm sure by tomorrow evening, I will see a lot more houses decorated for Halloween. And that's just awesome. Oh, to be in my brain right now. My CHRISTMAS TREE comes out of storage and stands up in 25 days. And for most of the rest of the world, CHRISTMAS SEASON begins in 31 days. All of the above mentioned just confirms again (not that we needed confirmation) that we are smack dab in the middle of the greatest time of the year now.

I dozed off last night watching "Friday the 13th". After a huge dinner, it felt amazing. These are the "October Feels" that we often talk about on here. And SyFy begins "Dark Arts Sundays" this Sunday. The last time I watched a Harry Potter movie was on August 31st! And I have to say I honestly missed them! So it will be a good return to Hogwarts this weekend, as it always is.

Have a great day friends! Welcome to October!

Yes! Spooky season is here. I did notice the friday the 13th marathon on last night but did not watch any of it. I watched a new netflix horror movie instead. As i mentioned in another thread that i am really happy October begins on a friday and we get the whole weekend to enjoy the start. Since techically this would be the final weekend of oktoberfest, i was going to cook up some oktoberfest snacks tonight. I will enjoy some food, have a fire, and watch something halloween/horror. It will be a nice evening to enjoy the halloween/oktoberfest combo.

How great is it to have a October start on Friday?!? And Halloween is on a Sunday?!? I am going to think of October as one long weekend!!!

I've been eating the Reese's footballs. They're kind of like the Reese's Eggs you see at Easter, but they're bigger. In fact, the peanut butter-to-chocolate ratio might be TOO much. I can only ever finish one and then I've had my fill.

My wife has also purchased the fun size packs of Starburst and 100 Grand bars for us and the kids. I wince a little every time I open a pack of Starbursts and get two yellows. Everyone knows it's all about the red and pink. That's the Holy Grail of fun size Starburst packs.
I'll trade two to one, giving you the pinks and taking the yellows!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 29

Happy October Weekend folks! It's the first weekend of October, which in itself is a special and joyous occasion! Today and tomorrow, LITERALLY, is the stuff of which we dreamed about for 11 months. And we have a whole month of it.

It was amazing to see Michael on TV last night. Looking over both of the schedules for SYFY, and AMC, I think I can honestly say that this is the best lineup I have saw in years, maybe the best ever.

Looking forward to seeing Michael again tonight!

Have a great 1st Saturday of October, friends!

After we did a fire last night i sat down and watched the original friday the 13th with my teenage son He has been really into watching the series of movies and he had not watched the original yet. I had not watched that in quite a long time.

Working on my Peanuts Trick or Treaters and hoping to get far enough to know what materials I may still need. I hope to have them ready by next Sunday.

I need to fashion arms and cut masks and hats for the other two. I think using fabric would have produced a better drape, but at $1 a tablecloth at Dollar General, I think I can make them work.

I think as far as it goes as picking movies in the spirit of "Halloween Season" - Jason / Friday the 13th is CRIMINALLY underrated. For JOL Days in 2021, I went heavy on the "Halloween" Films at time, but Jason and his soundtrack always delivered up a batch of "Feels". I think it's safe to say I will see more of Jason in 2022'.

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 28

Happy Sunday Folks! Today begins "Dark Arts Sundays" on SYFY. Tonight is "Fantastic Beasts", and "The crimes of Grindlewold".

Halloween lights went up last night! It felt amazing! I had to dig through the tubs of CHRISTMAS LIGHTS to find the Halloween ones, and it was exciting rummaging through all that stuff that will be coming out in less than 5 weeks. On that note, the CHRISTMAS TREE will be coming out of storage and being assembled in 22 days!

Have a great day, friends!
