Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 298
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 276
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 215
Happy Late January! Today folks we have 298 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 276 days left until November and 215 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Wednesday when we welcome in the Arrival Of February. And that will be a big key because it will mean we have completed 2 full months since the most wonderful month of November and now begin our 3rd month on the 11-month road back there. A long road ahead indeed. And a long road ahead in our Winter Wonderland. We’re still in the first month of it and we have a full 1.5 months ahead of us to be in it still. That’s ok let the Winter Wonderland last as long as it wants to. I hope your area hasn’t been getting too much snow but maybe just maybe I’m a tiny bit jealous that I have seen almost nothing here other than snow showers this winter. Nothing serious to stick and make people stay home. I wouldn’t mind getting 1 in February but we’ll see. Thanksgiving Fans can you believe after today we have 1 football game left? I mean 1 real one (not counting the pro bowl). And that’s it until The Bers. Amazing. I wonder who will play on Thanksgiving this year. We know Detroit and Dallas (at least they better both be hosting their games) but what about their opponents? Always a fun thing to see when we get into the offseason but that’s quite a-ways down the road before they announce that. I’m craving turkey folks. I really am. And once we hit February I’ll start formulating my plan and sharing with all of you as well. And share with me as well anything you decide to do with it. Have a great Late January!

The talk and thoughts of the "mini Thanksgiving" for February is really picking up steam now. We have talked about it with two people so far and also have mentioned that we will be sharing the pictures on here as part of a "virtual Mini Thanksgiving". Everybody thinks it's a great idea and so fun.
Like I said, the super bowl is a big food day for us, not quite on the level of Thanksgiving, but fun just the same. After the Super Bowl and Mini Thanksgiving is over, we won't have another big family food day until Easter!

The day that gets to me is the 100 Bers Day Count...which is May 24th. Then I start panicking lol.

Happy Next To Last Day Of January! Today folks we have 297 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 275 days to go until November, and 214 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone is on Wednesday folks when we reach the new month of February. It will be the arrival of the 3rd month of the year beginning since the month of November. Will be really nice to see February after a very long January. But we’re still in January and our Winter Wonderland will continue right through the end of it and right through February (and beyond). It’s Monday folks so let’s get our Weekly Countdown Till Thanksgiving done and that would be 42 weeks until Thanksgiving Week. Folks this is a big one. Why? Well because it means we have gone through 10 full weeks since Thanksgiving Week began. In a way that sounds crazy but in another way honestly doesn’t it feel like double that? But again maybe that’s January slowing things up and also December being so crazy so much has happened since that Thanksgiving Week. Unreal. But I’m happy where we are here and I’m even ok with us getting a snowstorm this winter if it ever comes. But just 1 please and nothing beyond the end of February please. I’m sure Mother Nature is going to take my order into consideration (or not). Now turkey fans we still have 2 more days to enjoy of January. And then we’ll be talking turkey folks. I have talked with the powers that be here and it looks like if this February Thanksgiving goes well that we will try to have one in May and August. Quarterly and mix up what we make this time make a little something different next time with it (sides). Kind of rotate. We’ll see. Have a great Next To Last Day Of January!

Oh my, a quarterly "Mini Thanksgiving"! This sounds like an amazing idea. And only "fair", I think. In terms of Special Days, Halloween has their own with Jack O Lantern Days, Thanksgiving has Tom Turkey Days, and Christmas obviously has Rudolph Days, but quarterly "mini Thanksgivings" has to be a thing. I think it's a great idea! Have a great day!

That will be a big arrival for sure as today we complete our 2nd full month since the most wonderful month of November that we all love. We continue here on the final day of this month in our Winter Wonderland here on a Tuesday. And you know that means pictures! Now I don’t have any Mini-Thanksgiving pictures to share as that is not here yet but the time is coming in February. And the quarterly mini Thanksgiving looks like it will be planned to happen. It gained steam here the idea so why not try it this year? I know others have tried it in the past. I’ll see how it works for me. For all you turkey fans I hope you post your Thanksgiving pictures today here in this thread. I’ll be back tonight to post like I always try to do on Tuesdays. So long, January! You felt like you were 7 or 8 weeks long, and time felt like it CRAWLED especially after I took my Christmas lights and decorations down. Time to daydream about Spring starting tomorrow and hope that our area is through the worst of the winter. I believe we will be!

I love living in the west, but obviously, it isn't the place to live when it comes to buying Thanksgiving dinner.
Merry Tuesday!! Its been a bitter day full of snow showers to keep everything wet. Got a Buffalo roast going for tonite. Kids think its a beef roast..lol. A farm up the road has a buffalo thats like a pet dog,they go up alot to help brush it out.
