Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 19
Happy November Weekend! Today folks we have 19 days remaining until Thanksgiving. That’s what we have one countdown still. Our next milestone will be in 9 days. It will be the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. That is going to be insane isn’t it? But right now we’re not thinking about it. It’s the weekend. It’s time to rest here in our Awesome Autumn on day 2 of 3 in our 3-day quiet weekend period. My personal favorite Saturday. I like Fridays and Sundays but Saturdays is still my favorite by far. Turkey fans I hope you are realizing we are in the month of November and this is OUR time. That’s right this is the month the focus is on us and this thread of ours. So make sure you support all of gobblers here who are crazy enough to be here all year long together on our year-round journey to Thanksgiving. Turkey fans I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far and that it continues slowly this weekend. We get an extra hour tonight. BONUS. We need that every weekend don’t we? Actually that makes me realize we get the extra hour during The Bers aren’t we lucky? And that is just 1 extra hour to enjoy in our favorite season. Have a great Saturday my turkey friends. I prefer Falling Back to Springing Forward and even though we are going to have a few days of weather in the 60s-70s, this is when I feel like I am free to go full cozy mode and put my pajamas on as early as I want!
I like it because we gain an hour tonight and it's lighter in the morning. But leaving work between 4:30 and 5 and it's already getting dark is a little sad...but then those Christmas lights which will be up very shortly will brighten everything.

Happy November Sunday! Today folks we have 18 days remaining until Thanksgiving. And our next milestone will be in 8 days. So that means we will have NO milestones next week. Hint: That’s a good thing. Want to know why? Because it is our FINAL MILESTONE folks before we reach THE DAY: Thanksgiving. Can you believe that? We move along in our Awesome Autumn on this Sunday enjoying this autumn weekend. A nice weekend here. Milder than it had been during the week and no rain which is shocking on the weekend here for a change. We move along in our 3-day quiet weekend period with the final (of 3) days here on Sunday. A very quiet one here folks. I’m glad. This whole weekend has been relaxing and I needed it. Once in a while you really need one. Of course, we all know one of the most exciting and yet restful/fun times is right over the Thanksgiving break. It’s like the one break you get as an adult (most of us do). Reminds you of being a kid on your last school day before a break like Christmas or Spring Break. Turkey fans I hope you enjoy your Sunday as much as you can. And I am wishing all of you a wonderful day today my friends. We are getting closer but we still have time. Have a great November Sunday!

This week is going to go by fast. I'm off work on Tuesday, and Friday. That means the next full week will be the week before Thanksgiving. Holy cow!

A quiet day to focus on giving Thanks. I need to write some thank you cards and I want to send Veteran's Day cards to the special veteran's in my life, and one get well card. A nice task for a November Sunday.
That is so thoughtful of you. And that reminds me, I need to get started on my Christmas cards.
I was supposed to pick up more holiday stamps yesterday but I missed the counter hours. I know I could order them online, I think i am going to go with the Snowglobes.
As I get older, I have become more acutely aware of the debt we owe our veterans!

Happy November Week! Today folks we move along into a brand full new week of November (OUR month) and look at our only countdown left which is 17 days remaining until Thanksgiving. Our next milestone will not take place this week. It’s going to be 1 week from today when we reach the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. Wow. We move along in the latter stages now of our Awesome Autumn trying to hold on to every single thing we can. And a new week means new daily stuff starting with Monday and our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. 2. That’s what’s left of that. Incredible. If you don’t realize how close we’re getting now folks I don’t know what to say. Ready or not everything is approaching now. And I thank all of you for being here today on this Monday and every single day you show up in this thread because you’ve made this thread what it is today. I have to say it’s great to have a Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas thread be so successful as they are on this site. Turkey fans I hope you are enjoying your start to the work week. I really want time to basically freeze at this point like a frozen turkey in the freezer. We need some freeze time. Before we thaw out and Thanksgiving approaches. Have a great November Week!

I know we've got this week in front of us, but just imagining next week, knowing that it is "The Week Before", that's big time! The slow build here has started, but next week it won't feel so slow!

I just personally wanted to take the time to say how thankful I am for each one of you and how much I treasure all of you
Not sure about the Broadway stuff. I also do not know half of the performers. Only 7. And of the 7, I'm only looking forward to 2 of them. Cher and Chicago. Maybe En Vogue too. It depends on which song they sing.
