Offseason Planning Session! Yes, that one is going to be really good this year. Last year we birthed a lot of new ideas, such as starting a “Special Post Series” for the Bers thread, which (in my opinion) went over really well this year, and I hope that we continue it!

I will say that I don’t have as many new ideas this time around, but I do have one that I’m pumped about that I hope catches on.

Evening Halloween Fans! 1 month ago was Halloween. In a way, it feels like so much longer to me. I'm not sure why. So maybe that means November has gone slower and we just haven't realized it. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's finally Friday, and even better, it's December 1st. December, the month that everyone on this site looks forward to all year long, is finally here. But the excitement doesn't stop there. Tomorrow we will celebrate being 150 DAYS until Halfoween. Guess what, that's LESS than SIX MONTHS! Doesn't seem to be possible, eh? That's the magic of the bonus months that we've been in since Halloween ended. And they're not done doing there thing yet.

This weekend is also going to see our Jack O Lantern Day count finally break into the 50's, and we will be inching mighty close to the 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone, which we will actually reach next week!

I'm excited to chase these milestones but I also want to sort of put them in the back of my mind for now, because up until December 25th of this month, my 100% focus is Christmas. Now, once the clock hits midnight on December 26th, heck, probably once Christmas is "over" on December 25th, I'm going to get busy doing off-season planning and chasing Halloween and The Bers like crazy.

It’s always good to close in on a milestone. The fact that, by tomorrow, Halfoween will be only 150 days away means that the bonus months are doing their job! We’ll be that much closer to 100 by the time January gets here.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Milestone Day! Today is a big one, 150 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN. I remember when we coined the phrase "April is the New October" when we realized on here organically a few years back that April was really the mirror image of October. And I think it was 2022 that we did a "full" Spooky Spring for the first time. It's still today one of my favorite times of the year. And it's less than six months away now!

Tomorrow, we will see the JOL Day count break into the 50's, and this coming Wednesday, we hit the big 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. That means that beginning on Thursday, we will only have one of the original counts still remaining in the 300's. Wow.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's jolting this morning to see that "Jack O Lantern Day" count down in the 50's. When we started that count on November 1st, that was one of the new things we did for this year's thread. I remember when the 2022 thread started, I waited until January to put up the "rest" of the counts, and while everyone was happy to see them, I really think it worked better starting with "everything". Heck Edge started the 2024 Thanksgiving thread over one year in advance . It's never too early to start getting excited, is what I learned.

We move right along in the countdowns today and start eyeing up what is our next achievement, and that will be arriving Wednesday. Wonderful Wednesday, that we see 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER. After that, you do the math. We will have only ONE countdown left that is still in the 300's! We started with THREE.

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope your Sunday and Weekend went well. It was a busy one here but a fun and good one. I slipped up tonight telling my brother we should watch some Halloween shows this week and I said I mean Christmas. Oops. Happy Halloween!

Today was the first day since Halloween that I didn't think about the big H, except while on this thread. I guess that means that I have truly lost sight of Halloween in the rearview mirror and can't see it in the distance ahead. That first JOL day will be a great refresher for me.

There are times when I too feel like I am "far away" from Halloween. The same happens for me with Christmas usually in the middle of February. I still think about October and Halloween a lot, but I feel it "slowing down" as Christmas approaches! No need to worry, this is normal!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! A new Monday is here and our full week-long journey has now begun on our way back to the weekend. To be clear, I consider Fridays a part of the weekend, so I feel like on a typical week, the goal is to just see Thursday on the horizon. I say it like a broken record but I love the transition that you feel between Wednesday and Thursday as you can feel that weekend magic rolling in.

Wednesday this week is going to be extra special, as we hit the 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. How amazing.

I saw a post above about how Halloween really feels like it is in the rear view mirror now, and it's true. With Christmas Season / Christmas magic all around me, Halloween and October talk is for sure taking kind of a back seat right now, as it should. I can promise you though, that first batch of "feels" that we feel for October / Halloween once Christmas is over will be among some of the most powerful of the year! Our first JOL Day is now 50+ days away and getting closer daily, and the sad reality is that it will be here sooner than later, so I want to enjoy Christmas time as much as I can. But in this thread, it's always ok to talk shop / Halloween.

Like I said in the Thanksgiving thread, I’ve got so many mixed feelings right now. My love for the Christmas season overpowers them all, but I do miss the other two members of the Christmas Triumvirate something fierce.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Monday is over with now and we are a day closer once again to our coveted weekend time. Looking forward to the weekend makes me remember how much I loved October weekends. October and December weekends sure are special, aren't they?

We're standing on the doorstep now to an important milestone, one that will be here tomorrow, and that is the arrival of the 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. After that we will have just ONE countdown left out of our original lineup that is still in the 300's.

I still can't believe that Christmas is in just three weeks. Have a great day friends, maybe sneak in just a few thoughts about Halloween and October?

I will be having October thoughts tomorrow for sure, when we hit the 300 day milestone. Another bonus month milestone that I’m thankful for! It’s nice to know that that’s one less count in the 300s when January arrives.

Unfortunately the time in January feels like trudging through a swamp.
