A for sure! Not only for Thanksgiving but the official beginnings of the Christmas holiday celebrations.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 343
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 316
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 255

Happy Winter Arrives! Today folks we move along and see we have 343 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 316 days to go until November, and 255 days left until The Bers. It is finally a milestone day folks as we have reached the Arrival Of Winter! Can you believe that my friends? We begin our 3-season journey back to the most wonderful season of all known as autumn. Our next milestone you ask? Well it’s in 5 days when we reach the 250-Day Marker till The Bers. Uh but that’s the day AFTER Christmas. Do you really want to be there any time soon? I don’t. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

Can you believe that Christmas is so close? Yet Thanksgiving seems so long ago? Maybe it’s just me. We say time is flying but why does Thanksgiving seem like a zillion days ago? It might be because I was sick (sorry I’ll try not to make that the theme of this year’s thread as we made CW’s forgetting his cranberry sauce the theme of a past year’s thread :)). But maybe that’s part of it for me personally as I felt like I missed out on part of it. And also the other part? I think we all can relate and that is so much has happened since Thanksgiving that it feels longer ago than a normal time where things are going slower, not running around for holiday shopping, etc.

Turkey friends I hope you enjoy your Thursday. It’s not Thanksgiving. It’s not Christmas. We’re in between still. Let’s stay there as long as we can. Have a great Winter Arrives!

Trying to enjoy some Thursday / Thanksgiving thoughts when we watch Thursday night football tonight. Today is Holly's birthday. We're going out to dinner, we haven't been out on a date in a few months. Think those turkey thoughts today, friends!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 342
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 315
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 254

Happy Christmas Eve Eve Eve! Today folks we have 342 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 315 days to go until November and 254 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the day after Christmas which will be the 250-day marker till The Bers. We move into Fun Fact Friday here in our Happy Holidays with our below weekly fact which is catching on this early part of this year’s thread!

Americans ate about 15 pounds of turkey per person in 2021, spread over the entire year. An average of one pound of that was consumed on Thanksgiving Day.

Well I was surprised by this fact. One pound of turkey on Thanksgiving Day? I can see that. But 15 pounds of turkey for the year? I’m surprised. So they ate as much every month basically 1+ pounds per month the whole year? Maybe because I don’t eat turkey regularly so it sounds high to me. But maybe a lot of people eat turkey all year long and often. Anyway there is your fact for this Friday heading into Christmas Weekend. Turkey friends I hope you all have had a great Christmas Week so far and keep thinking those turkey thoughts that nobody else in the world is thinking of right now. Have a great Christmas Eve Eve Eve!

I read that as "15 pounds of turkey per person, in 2021". And I was like Holy Cow. Then I read the whole thing. I know people ate a lot over the holidays, but I didn't realize that they ate THAT much.

Happy Christmas Eve Eve Eve!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 341
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 314
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 253

Happy Christmas Eve Eve! Today folks we have 341 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 314 days to go until November, and 253 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on the day after Christmas which is in 3 days. Nobody else is counting till December 26th other than the Grinch and this thread for the next milestone. It will be the 250-Day Marker till The Bers. Indeed. We move along in the later stages of our Happy Holidays and realize that we’re almost getting close to Christmas Time friends. Really today is your last day to get ready for that 48-hour magical time period of the year that nothing can touch. Not even Thanksgiving Eve/Day? Well that’s a debate for another day. But they both are definitely #1 and #2 where no 2-day stretch can even come within 100 miles of those 2 combinations. Turkey friends you know we’ll have our time again someday. But for now just enjoy your day. I hope you had a good week and a fun week in this thread with all the fun topics we have now every single weekday. I like that. No weekdays will not have a topic all year long. It deserves it. And now we can enjoy our weekend. A nice quiet weekend here in this thread. And we will enjoy this CHRISTMAS WEEKEND friends. Enjoy every single moment of it. Have a great Christmas Eve Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve! It definitely isn't going to be a White Christmas but the fog seems to have settled in, so that adds a bit of a festive feel. I like that the Thanksgiving counts will be there with a bright spot to greet us in just a few days, it may seem like we have forgotten but really we this is just the continutation of what we began on Thanksgiving Eve-- it is the same feeling of anticipation.

Merry and Festive Saturday! Finished up my chocolate chip cookies today and a batch of peppermint brownie cookies. Waited till the last minute because they gotta be stored in a safe. Hoping everybody is done shopping because its a circus out there.

They call the fog a "snow eater."

It always hits me around this time of year, and especially over the next few weeks, just how "close" The Bers seem despite being "over" in 9 more days. Our next "Bers Milestone" is the 250 day Marker, and I was actually just thinking last night how on March 1st, the start of The Bers will "only" be six months away. It honestly got me excited for just a few moments there.

On the subject of Christmas Weekend, I really do feel as well that there is nothing else like it any other time in the year. Have a great Saturday evening!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 340
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 313
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 252

Happy Christmas Eve! Today folks we have 340 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 313 days to go until November, and 252 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Tuesday. Nobody wants to think about Tuesday right now. Nobody. But it will be big in this thread because it will be the 250-Day Marker till The Bers. And that will be the day after Christmas. But right now turkey friends as we go into the 2nd half of our quiet weekend period here. A quiet Christmas Eve? Or a crazy fun one? I hope a little of both. But turkey friends there won’t be any turkey on the table tonight for us. We have our annual fish dinner. We move along in our Happy Holidays feeling lucky. Don’t we? I mean it’s Christmas Eve friends. The Dynamic Duo is here. Remember how it felt on Thanksgiving Eve/Day? And now we have Christmas Eve/Day. Just incredible. The Bers truly are amazing when you think about it with everything they give us. And that is why it is one of our 3 counts we do here in this thread. Turkey friends I hope you all are going to enjoy tonight. I hope you have a special Christmas Eve with your family. And if you are having turkey let us know. I would be more than ok with that if it wasn’t for our traditional fish feast. Keep it real turkey friends. Have a great and MERRY Christmas Eve!

The thought crossed my mind this morning that the "first" MMC Special Day to "cut into" the long last week of December will be Tom Turkey Day #1 that's in 4 more days. Not trying to jump ahead but Tom Turkey Day is a happy thought for me.

Have a very merry Christmas Eve!
