Thanksgiving 2024 Thread

45 weeks, that seems just about perfect. My SIL asked for my Chicken and Noodles recipe, so I am glad that it is well liked enough to be a cold snap request but I hope she doesn't want to bring it to Thanksgiving next year, I had hoped it would be my go-to potluck dish!

As I am thinking about what to make for dinner, chicken and noodles sounds so good. I didn't grow up eating that, but it was a staple at Dave's house so after we married I started making it.

Happy Middle Day Of January! Today folks we have 317 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 290 days to go until November, and 229 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be 1 week from Thursday which will be Tom Turkey Day #2! We move along in our Winter Wonderland with everything being snowy out today and our Picture Tuesday. Yes, the one and only Picture Day is here friends. So you better get ready and gear up all your pictures of anything related to The Bers, Autumn, and/or Thanksgiving of course. Maybe some plates of food? Or maybe some decorations? Or whatever you find please post them here today. I’ll be back later today like I always try to get back here to post some pictures. Nothing like a snowy and cold week to make you dream of how awesome autumn was. And it sure was awesome. But now we’re in winter and trying to enjoy every single moment of it. As much as we can all the way together. Turkey friends I hope your Monday went ok and that your Tuesday goes as well as Monday did for you. Here's today's vibes! It snowed all night long. There's probably 3 or 4 inches of snow out there! More Christmas feels than Thanksgiving but I tried to combine the best of both worlds here. I almost feel like listening to Christmas music on the way to work, and I think I will. I usually don't do that after Christmas until Rudolph Day, but today is special! Have a great day!

• What a positive poll today huh? Umm you know what I am going to go with D. I think part of it is I got used to the darkness in the latter stages of autumn (when it wasn’t so terribly cold) so I can deal with that at this point. Snow? I don’t need. Cold? It’s the worst. And wind? It makes the cold even worse this time of year. So there is my answer. What about you? Turkey friends enjoy the middle of your week. I'm going with "D". I can deal with the darkness. It's actually something I look forward to in late Autumn, I enjoy driving home and seeing the beautiful sunsets. It's nice coming home during Christmas Season and it's dark outside but Christmas lights are lit up everywhere. Now with Christmas season behind us, it's just dark lol. But I think the horrible cold and wind are way worse. That's my answer for today.
