Thanks for the conversion lesson, Sing.
So the pound is worth exactly twice the dollar, now. That makes it easy!

Actually the £ is not worth as much at at the moment! I Just half the $ to work out very rough equivalent in £, but really is less than half now I believe.

Sigh!
When one doesn't have a cat and doesn't drink coffee (or when the cat drinks all the coffee and passes out) there's so little motivation to get one out of bed in the morning.
Thank goodness for this board!

You actually got out of bed? WOW mark that on the calendar folks...

Good Morning, Friends and Lovers of Christmas.

It is overcast here in Raleigh at this hour where the temperature stands at a chilly 32.
We are not predicted to get out of the 30's all day and there is possible rain tonight. A good indoors day.

Days to the Season: 292
Days to Christmas Day:334

Gee! Can't think of anything to say this morning. Like the Cowardly Lion, I'm speechless, so I'll just wake Binger up with this little bit of coffee humor and take my leave:

A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning.

The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."

The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee."

Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."

Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me."

So she fetched the Bible, opened to the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says:

"HEBREWS"

I wish I had gone to the (belated) Christmas party with christmasgranny!~ I would have liked to have played darts and eaten lots of good food!

However - I AM celebrating Rudolph Day in my own way!

I am gradually opening the trunk of my car (each time I bring some trash or some recycling outside) and - bit by bit - I am removing things I have bought at after-Christmas sales - and bringing them into the house. It is good NOT to draw attention to them -- because you do not want someone shouting "More Christmas Wrapping Paper? What In The ____ Is That For?" No -- you do not want to hear those words. So... you patiently wait until there is some nice sports event on television. Then... you pass through the room with the television... either carrying a garbage bag... or offering some healthy bottled water... or doing some other little thing designed to draw attention to your virture. You may even announce: "I'm taking the recycling out now, honey!" Then... after the recycling is put in its bin... you quietly open the trunk of the car... and decide which items you will quietly bring into the house.

Once inside a hidden part of the house --- you may realize that you will have to purchase some more Christmas storage bins for your bargains. But that can all be decided later. Just continue about your peaceful, wonderful celebration of Rudolph Day -- in whatever way is best for you and the people you love.

Sparkle, that is what I do!! It keeps down the fussing from the grouchy old man!! LOL, I do this all the time.
