Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Hello Halloween fans!
My wife just saw an advertisement for a Beetlejuice purse that is in the shape of the Beetlejuice sign. Though she never carries a purse she said she really wants it for the Fall. It is at the store Marshalls, for anyone that has that store around.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Memorial Day is here and while we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, Memorial Day also serves to remind us here in these threads that if we had any doubt where we were headed, today puts a stamp on that as we most definitely are now on "The Road" back home. And that journey will basically be book ended on Labor Day, with yours truly taking an extended scenic break in August for "Fall Pre-Season".
On the heels of a fantastic Dark Arts Sunday, we look forward to our next special day which will be Jack O Lantern Day #4 that is coming up in ironically just 4 days. Our next milestone day will be in one week when we celebrate the 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone. I think it is safe to say that the counts in here are starting to heat up a bit.
I hope everyone enjoys today and can have special time with friends and family. Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Tuesday and I feel like this week might already be moving different since we are going back to work on a Tuesday. We will see the arrival of June 1st on Saturday, which means my plan is to do our monthly recap tomorrow, and then the June preview on Thursday. Pretty snazzy that Jack O Lantern Day falls on a Friday this month.
It's 60 degrees outside and we are going to enjoy to enjoy cooler weather for the next 10 days. Folks I don't want to get too over excited this many days out, but it looks like right now Jack O Lantern Day is only going to have a high of 74 degrees, and the low that evening gets to 48! That is positively "fire" weather, and I plan to have a fire in the fire ring as long as it doesn't rain that day. It should be easy to get some October feels with weather like that.
Have a great day friends! Sneak some Halloween thoughts in today! I'm not sure if I ever mentioned it, but it was absolutely AMAZING to go to Jo Ann Fabrics in person and see the Halloween display. As @The_Escalation mentioned, it was indeed the earliest Code Orange that I have ever saw in my life, and I loved it!

The early Code Orange sightings have been so much fun. Given how early they started this year, I suspect there will be more in June as well, and I'd be surprised if we didn't hear from Spirit Halloween at some point during the month. Lots to look forward to going into the summer!
I have been reading all the news about how inflation is impacting the family budget and how people are cutting back on non-essentials so it makes me wonder if stores are putting things out earlier in the hopes of people buying a little at a time over a longer period of time.

Man, May has been so busy and went by at such a rapid clip that JOL Day just kind of snuck up on me. I can honestly say that I don't think I thought about JOL Day at all this month, until today, of course.
I don't know if May has the MOST milestones, but I definitely think they are the most significant milestones we've reached all year. Looking at Rich's Countdown Site, June has a whopping 14 milestones, holidays, and special days, but like I've said, the entire vibe changes significantly once we reach the 100 Days to the Bers marker and then pass Memorial Day Weekend. I feel like our journey up to this point has been using a manual transmission, and we just got upgraded to automatic and someone put us on cruise control. June will have a lot of stuff to celebrate, but it won't feel like May.

I "made" Michelle go out with me this afternoon after work to check the At Home store. It cost me a $40 dinner at Cheddars, but it was well worth it. I almost gasped out loud when I turned the corner on the aisle and saw all of this.

Just one day until JOL Day #4! We will enter into a 50's count on Days to Fall Pre-Season on Monday! Tuesday will be only 90 Days to until The Bers, and now we're in single digits on the way down to the 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON milestone. But Next Tuesday will be a big day too as we reach 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. Holy cow these milestones are coming up fast.
