That's quite the impressive schedule! June has way more to celebrate than I thought. I was kind of biding my time until the Solstice, but it's good to know there's a lot more activity coming up before then!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON: 108

Happy JOL Day #4! It's Friday, and the weekend for me arrived early. Having JOL Day on Friday, and having a three day weekend, there are really some big Holiday vibes in the air. Do you like the scenery? Bing does a pretty good job of imagining what "The Road" is like as we continue to drive down it towards home.
Looking at the counts this morning we almost need to double check. We will be in the 50's count to Fall Pre-Season starting on Monday! And Tuesday will mark just 90 days to The Bers! Also happening on Tuesday? 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN, which will be our next major milestone.
Tonight and tomorrow is going to get down into the 40's overnight. Both nights will be perfect opportunities to have an outside fire! We burn over the summer too, but it just isn't the same when it is still warm / humid outside. The next couple nights here might be our last chances to "feel" autumn again before we are on the other side of the Sweat Fest.
Tonight's JOL Day movie is Silent Hill! Have a great day!

Wow, May went fast! Hard to believe the numbers on the countdown.
Not sure what movie(s) I will watch today for JOL Day. Might let my son pick the movie today. There are a handful of movies he has been wanting to watch that we just haven't had time for yet.
The weather has had a nice early Fall feel for the last several days. We have barely hit 70 recently and the nights have been really nice and cool. Last night we sat outside and had a fire and the fire certainly felt good because without it the air made it quite chilly. We tend to have a lot of fires during the summer simply because we have the time. During the Fall, when I would like to have more fires, we are just so busy it is hard to find the time in the evenings to do it.

Happy JOL Day, everyone! This past week has felt kinda surreal -- being back on the road to the Bers and knowing that the Sweatfest is here, but also that the best part of the year is imminent as well. I'm trying not to look too far ahead, but the second half of the year is going to be euphoric.
Now...what to watch for JOL Day tonight? I'm leaning towards Haunted Mansion in preparation for our Disney trip.

We are two days away from the 90 day marker to The Bers, and also two days away from 150 Days to Halloween. Like we said in the June preview, we celebrate SOMETHING almost once a week. I don't think anybody will complain about that.
I also saw on the news that because of weather patterns, we are expected to have a cooler than normal first part of June! Could you just imagine if somehow mother nature tames the Sweat Fest for another month? That means we here we would only have to contend with the heat of July and part of August! One can hope.

I would so appreciate and enjoy a cooler than normal first part of June! Today is going to be rainy so I will focus on some normal indoor chores but I need to start a cumulative list of all the outdoor summer tasks I would like to get done.
I planted my pumpkins two weeks ago come Monday and no sprouts yet. I hope that doesn't mean they aren't going to grow.

Another coolish day. Quite cloudy too. Perfect for sitting outside.
So far the end of May and the start of June has been great in terms of the temperature. Feels like the start of Fall instead of the start of Summer. I know the super heat is coming, but I am going to enjoy this lovely weather as long as it lasts.
