DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 169
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 142
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 81

Happy Dozen Days Of June! Today folks we move along and see that we have 169 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 142 days left until November, and 81 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestones arrive in 1 week when we reach the Arrival of Summer and the following day (in 1 week + 1 days) we arrive at Tom Turkey Day #7. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with the following Weekly Wednesday Poll!

When are your favorite Thanksgiving memories from?
  • Childhood
  • Adulthood
  • They are equal
  • Neither as I don’t have many specific memories of Thanksgiving that stick with me
I’m going with B. As much as we all love talking about how great things were as a kid I feel like I have such a greater appreciation when it comes to memories. And just enjoying the moment. What about you? Turkey friends enjoy the middle of your week. Have a great Dozen Days Of June!

I'm gonna go with childhood. I think it's because, even though I didn't realize it at the time, it was as carefree as life would ever be. As an adult, it gives me a much better appreciation for how much work it took my mother to make Thanksgiving special for us.

Same here - I think the childhood memories are the greatest. I wish more emphasis would be put telling children during the times they are living in that they are truly among the best times.

To quote the office, "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them".

Thanksgiving at my Grandparents house was always TOP NOTCH. I don't know that I'll ever be able to reach or "beat" the standard they set. I don't know that I would want to.

Have a great day!

What you wrote makes me think of "Our Town".

“EMILY: "Does anyone ever realize life while they live it...every, every minute?"

STAGE MANAGER: "No. Saints and poets maybe...they do some.”
― Thornton Wilder, Our Town

Sniff. I'm not crying.

I’m going to go with B. I don’t have many vivid memories of Thanksgiving as a child, and the ones that I do have are the ones that aren’t so great — the kind that made me wish I had a “normal” family that got along like most other kids’.

Because of those memories, I never had much of an appreciation for Thanksgiving, even as an adult, until after arriving here at MMC. I always knew it was a special day, but I just kind of always looked at it as a stepping stone to Christmas. Now I absolutely love Thanksgiving as its own holiday and am determined to make sure my kids have much better childhood memories than I do.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 168
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 141
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 80

Happy June Teens! Today folks we have 168 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 141 days left until November, and 80 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestones will be next week on Wednesday when we welcome in officially the Arrival of Summer. It will begin the 3rd and final season on our way back to everyone’s favorite season which is autumn. The next day we will have Tom Turkey Day #7. It will be major for all of us. And we all know Rich loves his Tom Turkey Days. Today is Thursday so please read below our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

It’s weird I remember a very warm Christmas several years ago. It was 70+ degrees on Christmas Eve. I almost put my shorts on. But I don’t remember Thanksgiving that warm. Not sure why. We had a very cold one a few years ago where it felt like January out. We mostly have temps in the 40s or 50s. But I can’t remember the last warm Thanksgiving. Can you?

Turkey friends I wish you all the best on this day. I hope you are having a great time today. And that you are all doing well. It’s Thursday to make the most of this turkey type of day. Gobble Gobble. Have a great June Teens!

I think it was Thanksgiving of 2016 when we got into the 70's here. I remember that year mowing the grass almost until the second week of December because of how warm it was. I remember having to move the extension cords for Christmas decorations so that I could mow lol. And I remember just how weird it felt going to Thanksgiving that day in just jeans and a t-shirt - no coat or sweatshirt needed lol. Hopefully this year we have appropriate temperatures for Thanksgiving and Christmas! Have a great day!

I remember that Christmas too...such crazy weather!! I can't recall a warm Thanksgiving either. I prefer a chilly day for Thanksgiving!

I am more likely to notice warm weather on Christmas because I am always hoping for a White christmas but we have had some nice Thanksgiving, I remember one that was nice but windy recently.
