Happy 2nd Half Of June! Today folks we move along and have 164 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 137 days to go until November, and 76 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will happen this week on Wednesday (Summer Begins) and on Thursday (Tom Turkey Day #7). We move along in our Summer Sweatfest on this Monday starting off a brand new week with our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. And it now stands at 23 weeks. Woohoo. That’s a cool #. We move along folks and this is the final week of school here for most kids. It’s always a big week. And I’m off the next 3 days with some PTO time. Definitely a little summer break here with a couple more coming in July. Turkey friends I hope you are enjoying the start to your week and you know you can count on this thread all week long delivering the usual topics that we always deliver. It should be a lot of fun this week in this thread. Thanks for hanging out with us here on this Monday. And as I say don’t wish away the summer (even if it is going to be a really hot one) because the faster the summer goes only means the faster The Bers will go. That’s what I’ve found at least. The SweatFest sure is here this week. In the next 10 days, five of those days will hit 90 degrees and one day might hit 100 but I don't personally think it will get that hot. Even during times of hot summers, 100 degrees really is so historically rare for our region.
We hit 86 degrees yesterday and the house here was comfortable at 70 degrees. That's pretty good AC, IMO. The true test will be how we feel once we get into the 90's. I think we will be OK.

We are definitely heading into the sweatfest this week and thank God for AC!!
Over the weekend I went to some garage sales and I found a nice pair of snow pants, they needed some mending but nothing major. I washed them this morning and they are hanging in the garage to dry, I guess it is my way of proving to myself that it will not always be this hot and humid! I also ordered a hanging shoe organizer to organize gloves, ear bands, hats, scarves, etc... somehow the extreme heat is making me want to prepare for the extreme cold! I don't think I ever have the urge to buy bug spray in winter but maybe this year I will.

Happy Jovial June! Today folks we have 163 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 136 days to go until November, and 75 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will come the next 2 days. First, we have Summer Arriving on Wednesday. But the summer heat has arrived a bit early this year here. And the very next day it will be Tom Turkey Day #7. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest relying on our a/c to keep us cool through the heatwave. It’s Tuesday friends and that means it is time for Picture Day so share all of your cooler pictures which will help us cool us down a bit this hot summer with pictures of Autumn/Thanksgiving. Share them all on this site in this thread today on a Tuesday as always. I’ll be back later to try to post some of mine as well. Turkey friends I hope your week got off to a good start on Monday and that it only increases here today on Tuesday. Those temperatures are increasing here and so is the humidity. I have my a/c and powerful fan to help me stay cool. And maybe some iced cold drinks too. Turkey friends we know the Sweatfest only adds to our love for autumn.
