Happy Juneteenth! Today folks we have 162 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 135 days left until November, and 74 days to go until The Bers. It’s Milestone Day folks as Summer has Arrived! Ok so I lied. Summer really arrives tomorrow but I believe I put it on our chart for today not to interfere with tomorrow’s milestone which is Tom Turkey Day #7. Let’s move on though my Summer Sweatfest Friends by giving a poll about (spring) since today is officially the last day of spring!
With spring wrapping up today officially what are your final thoughts on it?

- A.) Spring is ok, not my favorite, not my least favorite.
- B.) Spring is underrated. Nobody talks about it enough. It gets overshadowed.
- C.) Spring is the best season ever (even more than autumn).
- D.) Spring is my least favorite season.
- I’m going with B. I think Spring is underrated. I think this site is so focused on autumn, the holiday season (and rightfully so) and then you throw in summer fans (like myself) and really nobody talks about spring much until we’re in the middle of winter freezing our butt off. What about you? Turkey friends have a great middle of the week and final day of spring. Have a great Juneteenth!
It's an easy answer to pick "B" today. So many good reasons to love Spring. But the main one for me is obviously Spooky Spring for the month of April, and the fact that most of Spring the weather mirrors our beloved Autumn Season. And Christmas / Fall decorations go out at Hobby Lobby in the Spring. It is just an all around underrated season! Have a great day!
I am with B too! I love spring when the weather is warming up especially after a cold winter.

Happy Summer Arrives! Today folks we move along and see that we have 161 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 134 days left until November, and 73 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be one week from today when we have Tom Turkey Day #7. We are sweating here in the Summer Sweatfest but our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday will cool us off below I am sure!
It’s hot folks. No kidding. I state the obvious and it sounds like a lot of people have had a hot start to summer. Well as much as I love Thanksgiving and the holidays (and autumn). I find myself thinking about them more in the summer as opposed to the winter and spring. I think part of that is the obvious which is they are closer now than they were then. And also, thinking cooler thoughts is fun during a hot summer.
Like I said I’ll think about this all year long. We always think about holidays and such. But this time of year I definitely think a little more about autumn. However, I do not want to rush summer. It’s more o a those cooler autumn breezes will only feel better after what looks like it might turn out to be a long hot summer. We’ll see though. Turkey friends think turkey. Have a great Summer Arrives!

Oh yes - Turkey thoughts today are rewarding as anything mentally to take the attention off this SweatFest. It has been mild-ish the last few years and not long in duration, but I think it's making up for it this year. Our heatwave ends on Sunday - Saturday is the last day for it here, and then we go back to "normal" Summer temperatures. My own Christmas and Autumn meter is just about full. And Christmas in July starts on Saturday, what a wonderful time it will be!

Happy Summer TGIF! Today folks we have 160 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 133 days to go until November, and 72 days left until The Bers. We move along folks in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving next week on Thursday with Tom Turkey Day #7. Today is the day I grew up having as my last day of school. I know some schools change now (some go back earlier and end earlier) but this would always be my 10-week summer coming up after this weekend. Pretty awesome being a kid on the last Friday of school. Today is Friday of course and that means Fun Fact Friday which will be right below this!
According to most Americans, the best part of Thanksgiving is the leftovers!
Well, is it bad if I agree? I think last year I had to agree because I got sick on Thanksgiving. And I got to eat the leftovers a few days later which saved Thanksgiving for me. Also, sometimes things reheated taste better. I know a lot of people think lasagna does and I think Thanksgiving leftovers are delicious. But still I love Thanksgiving Day as a whole and wouldn’t say that the leftovers are better than Thanksgiving Day. Turkey friends stay cool. Looks like we’re getting more (and more heat). I'm not really a fan of leftovers. I've never been that way. A lot of people even prefer leftovers. I think that desserts and stuff that keep for a few days are still good. But I'm a fresh food guy. Have a great Friday!
I always love to have pumpkin pie for breakfast and I love leftovers the next day but usually after one meal I am good.
I enjoy leftovers and feel like I still have one foot in Thanksgiving while enjoying them, but by Saturday I am happy to pack up whatever is left into a few freezer meals.
While I love the leftovers, they are NOT the best part of Thanksgiving. I can think of many other better things. The original meal, family and friends, the parade, the atmosphere, and the anticipation of Thanksgiving Day are better than the leftovers.
