Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Wednesday at last! And I'm off work today. We are getting a break in the heatwave today, with it only reaching 90 degrees. Our heatwave is over beginning on Sunday, with us only having average temperatures for June after that. We're marching closer and closer to the 100 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone! It will be here on Sunday.

Our October / Halloween discussion today has to do with the heat! Is Halloween normally "hot" where you live? Here in NoVA, Halloween is usually on the chilly side. But I saw that Phoenix, AZ a few years ago had 94 degrees on Halloween day! Let us know what the Halloween weather is where you live.

Good morning Halloween Fans!

I am hoping to head to At Home and Hobby Lobby on Friday this week. Gotta check out all of the Fall decor that I keep hearing about!

I did look at the Spirit Halloween website and saw that they are hiring for a store close to me. Looks like the store will likely go back in the old mall. I am hoping it will open fairly early in August as it sometimes does.
 
We usually have very mild weather for Halloween. Highs in the 70s, lows around 50F.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Thursday, better known as "Mini Friday"! Folks, we are approaching the end of the heatwave here. Friday is going to be our hottest day at 95, and then we go back to "normal" summer temperatures after that.

Today is a big day for any Autumn lovers. It's the Summer Solstice. Beginning TOMORROW, we all know that the days begin getting shorter again as we start the final run towards Autumn. The arrival of Summer today means that we are indeed in the "final" season before we arrive back home. And it's a good feeling.

I honestly feel like at this point in the year my longing for Fall & Halloween is honestly at a fever pitch. And I'm nearly there on Christmas too - I decorated a few things yesterday for "Christmas in July" that starts this weekend, and I am pretty excited! I mentioned in the Christmas thread - but it really does feel like the very best time of the year is nearly here now - and almost within our grasp!

Hello Halloween Fans!

Another super hot day. I am heading to Hobby Lobby and At Home tomorrow to check out the Halloween and Christmas stuff they have out. Should be a fun little trip.

The end of June is between seasons for me. Right now I have been listening to a lot of summer songs. Mostly the old Beach songs from the 60s. However, once we are past the 4th of July, I will fall hard into Christmas in July. Of course once August hits, the Halloween music will begin. It is all getting so close, and I am super excited!

TGIF! We're on the other side of the Summer Solstice now! We won't see it for several weeks, but just knowing that those days are getting shorter now is really a good feeling. We are in the final part of the heatwave where I live. Today and tomorrow are the hottest day, and after Sunday we go back to "normal" for the SweatFest this time of year.

We're in single digits now until JOL Day # 5, and the big change in the counts coming up will be entering into the 30's on our way to FALL PRESEASON, and of course the big 100 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone coming our way in just two days.

Hello Halloween Fans!

We are getting ready to head out to Hobby Lobby and At Home. I really hope my local stores have their Halloween decor out. Looking forward to seeing what they have. Of course at Hobby Lobby I will be looking at the Christmas stuff as well.

Well, my trip was not as fruitful as I would have liked. At Home did have a decent amount of Halloween stuff out, but not as much as I hoped. We picked up a few little things but nothing major.
Hobby Lobby was the real disappointment. They have very little in the way of Fall and Halloween out. A few things, but nothing exciting.

Oh well, we still had a great family outing and it was fun talking about the Fall and Halloween.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! The final day of the heatwave is here for us! Temps peak at 96 degrees today around 2 pm and then start falling off. It will be so glad to get back to a "normal" hot SweatFest and not this horrible hot one that usually doesn't show up until mid July. Our counts are heating up in here too - we're just over a week away from JOL Day # 5, and two big things are happening tomorrow. First, we enter into the 30's on our countdown toward FALL PRESEASON, and also tomorrow - 100 DAYS TO OCTOBER!

After that, we will only have ONE count that is still in triple digits! Hold on to your pumpkins because I think it is going by fast!! Folks I can't even imagine how it will feel being only 30+ days from Fall Pre-Season. I'm getting the jitters this morning just thinking about waking up tomorrow and seeing that count.

Happy Milestone Day Halloween Hunters! A BIG DAY this morning as we celebrate not only 100 DAYS TO OCTOBER, but also now being in the 30's until Fall Pre-Season! And don't forget about JOL Day #5, now just one week away!

I continue to pass the time until October with another edition of Dark Arts Sunday - Harry Potter and the Half Blood prince!

Just remember - beginning tomorrow morning, we will only have ONE count left that is triple digits!!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! A new week is here and it's a big one. Firstly, CHRISTMAS EVE is in just six months from now. Tomorrow will mark SIX MONTHS UNTIL CHRISTMAS, and Thursday is Tom Turkey Day! Jack O Lantern Day #5 closes out the month of June on Saturday!

The big change this morning is seeing that we now only have ONE count left that is in triple digits, and that being "Days to Halloween".

I don't think anybody wants to rush that countdown! We mercifully have a cool front coming in this week, that will see us only reach low to mid 80's for the entire week. Last week was brutal and let me tell you, it was satisfying hearing so many "normal" people remark that they were over the heat and couldn't wait for Fall. They have no idea!
