I'm jealous.Fall-Preseason is perfect! Saw the 10 day weather forecast this morning they are calling for several days of highs in low 80s and the lows in mid to upper 60s late next week into the weekend. Oh I hope so!
93 degrees here...hard to think of fall right now but eventually it'll cool off hopefully!Happy 1st day of August! I'm loving being in "Fall Pre-Season". And I can't wait to watch NFL Football tonight. Not re-runs, the real deal. It's just preseason for those guys too, but seeing live football back on the screen makes me tremendously happy. Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday on October 3, 1863. Sarah Josepha Hale, the woman who wrote “Mary Had A Little Lamb,” convinced Lincoln to make Thanksgiving a national holiday after writing letters for 17 years.
Well that’s interesting. And that song brings back memories. Growing up hearing it all the time as a kid. Didn’t know who actually wrote it. And somehow she convinced Lincoln? I sometimes wonder how people even know these things. But that’s quite interesting for sure. And now it’s like the biggest holiday there is. Right friends?
