I think the easy answer for today is "A". There's just something so special about being outside when all you need is a light jacket or hoodie.

Have a great Wednesday! Weekend vibes are due to roll in soon!

I guess I would go A too but my true answer would be none of thee above.

I really don't like the cold but their is something distinct and enjoyable about that early chill that happens in fall. I definitely consider a chill total different from it being cold though.

Okay, this is hard. I am still enjoying the chill so I can't pick that, and the leaves were beautiful on my drive home, and I don't want to wish away one minute of October so I am going to have to go with B - Halloween stuff. It hurts and it may change soon but if the other 3 are a 10/10, Halloween is a 9.9/10.

I'm going to say C, part 2. I'm not too fond of the leaves falling.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 42
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 15

Happy 2nd Half Of October! Today folks we move along and have 42 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 15 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be in 5 days when we reach the Home Stretch till November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below for all of you to view!

If Thanksgiving had an official season I think I’d consider it to start on November 1. Maybe some would consider it earlier and others would consider it later. It’s interesting how Halloween seems to have an agreed upon season as well as Christmas but not Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is like the stepchild of holidays which is why I started this thread years ago.

Sometimes the best is overlooked and I think that is the case for Thanksgiving. Halloween comes first and has all the fun stuff. Christmas comes last and has all the big stuff. But Thanksgiving is sandwiched in the middle. Oh well but we all know that Thanksgiving is as special as it gets and that is what matters. Turkey friends the best to you today. Have a great time with work, family, friends, pets, food, and more. Have a great 2nd Half Of October!

At six weeks, or only 42 days, somehow Thanksgiving feels very close compared to how it felt even a week ago. I realize now that the "Turkey Trot" is coming up, and I have done no running at all really since the half marathon back on August 25th. Fortunately, the trot is just a 5k, so a few weeks of "easy" running, and I will be ready. I don't have to do the long preparations like I do for the 10k or the half!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 41
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 14

Happy Halloween Season! Today folks we move along and see that we have 41 days remaining till Thanksgiving and 14 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be the Home Stretch till November which will happen in 4 days. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our weekly fun thing on Fridays which is our Fun Fact Friday below!

The tradition of breaking the wishbone is ancient.

The practice of breaking the turkey’s wishbone is a Thanksgiving ritual for many. The person who ends up with the larger piece is believed to have their wish granted.

This tradition has roots in ancient civilizations, including the
Romans, who believed in the divinatory powers of a chicken’s clavicle. Over time, it became a fun, competitive element of Thanksgiving celebrations.

Two of my brothers have this tradition with the wishbone. I’m not sure what they wish for other than a Happy Thanksgiving. Gobble Gobble. Have a good one my turkey friends. Have a great Halloween Season!

I remember breaking the wishbone! My Dad and I used to do it on Thanksgiving when my parents were still married! It's been a long time since I've done it. Maybe we can do it this year. This post has made me so happy. I want to write down this idea so that I don't forget! Maybe a "new" old tradition for me going forward! Have a great Friday!

It's fun to break it!

This is the first time I wondered if you were pulling our legs! Powers of a chicken's clavicle?!? LOL

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 40
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 13

Happy Fall Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 40 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 13 days to go until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone scheduled to arrive on Tuesday when we reach the Home Stretch till November. That’s going to be a big one for sure my friends. I hope everyone is doing well and feeling well. It’s time for our Quiet Weekend Period Part 1 of 2. I love our Quiet Weekends here in this thread after a long (but fun) week that we’ve had in this thread. It’s awesome. It’s good to have a little down time which is what the weekend is for us as well. I hope all of my turkey friends are doing well here on this Saturday in October with all the fun stuff going on. It’s a great time to be here in October. Definitely an awesome month. I know this thread focuses on the next month coming but my friends October is still a big Bers month and we all acknowledge that. As I’ve mentioned my brother from California is changing it up this year and scheduled to come for Thanksgiving Week this year. Amazing. That’s rare. Normally it’s Christmas. It should be fun. Turkey friends the best to you on this Saturday and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Have a great Fall Weekend!

Happy Saturday! I believe that I will begin running again this weekend as I prepare for the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot that will be my final running event of the year.

We're getting closer and closer to Turkey Day! Have a great day!
