Good Morning Halloween Friends! 1st day after Christmas. I guess today technically "The Offseason" begins for everything Big 3 related.
My immediate focus now with the remaining days left in December will really be about hammering out my MMC Special Days for 2025. I really enjoyed last year picking all my JOL Day movies ahead of time, same thing with Rudolph Days. I felt like having a "schedule" and seeing everything coming up ahead of me was in a lot of ways like watching the calendar itself. I started getting into some routines too with Tom Turkey Day, no reason to think I can't build and improve on that too. That is real conversation that should really be had in the "Offseason Thread", for anyone who wants to join me. A small, but dedicated planning crew is in there every year around this time!
Our next milestone in this thread will be NEXT SATURDAY, when we reach 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN! That will be the very final 300 level count in this 2025 thread. We started off with THREE counts well north of 300 days. Now we have only one remaining. That's progress, folks!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF! We are heading into the very final weekend of 2024. This is the last time we will ever have a Friday this year!
Pretty soon in here we are going to be looking at Fall and Halloween milestones and talking about them happening "THIS YEAR", instead of having to say "Next Year".
Keep your eye on that 300+ day countdown to Halloween. Out of all the countdowns, that's the one that I am okay taking our time with. Because having Halloween out in front of you means you are still in the "prime" of The Bers / Holiday Season and there's still Thanksgiving and Christmas Season up ahead.
It's looking right now like my 2025 Jack O Lantern Day planning day will happen on New Year's Eve over in "The Offseason Thread". I was SUPER original and picked the 31st for that one lol. I honestly figured that I would do them in natural order - Rudolph Day, Tom Turkey Day, and lastly JOL Day. So I've got a couple of more days to get everything roughed in and then it will be off to the races.

Alright, here we go. This thread is my new home for the foreseeable future. Halloween is the first of the “Big 3” that we’re counting down to, and the first “major” event coming up in 2025 is Spooky Spring. It’s only natural that I park here and start checking All Hallows Geek again daily for any tidbits of Halloween news I can get my hands on. Looking forward to seeing what new Halloween candies will be featured next year.
I am looking foward to the posts for each and I will add them all to my 2025 wall calendar when I fill it out next week!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Last Saturday of the year is now here. Sometimes it seems a little daunting to imagine that in just a few more days, 2024 is in the history books. But, without the new year coming, there would be no way to "officially" begin our journey back to all the things we love.
We've been on the way back to Halloween since 11/1. We started the journey back to Thanksgiving on 11/29, and we started the way back to Christmas on 12/26. BUT - the arrival of January 1st means that we officially say "THIS YEAR" when talking about the upcoming holiday season.
And I know we're supposed to live in the moment, but this year I have more reasons than most to want to speed time forward a little bit. In roughly 153 days we will be preparing to welcome my 2nd child into the world. So I think I might add an additional countdown to the list up there, in hopes that it might help the time move along. And of course I can adjust it if they move us forward / out for any reason.
One week away now from the 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone! That is the very last 300+ day count that we have in this thread and in a week from now there will be no more! We started off with three counts that were well north of 300 days. That just goes to show you how much time is moving even when we aren't staying super focused on it!

Evening Halloween Fans! A mild day here but a rainy one too on and off. Now it's dry again. Seems like that is our pattern the last couple of days and for the next couple of days as well. Kind of half a nice day and half a rainy day. Glad Halloween Season was dry for us. Happy Halloween!
I have been in my storage closet a lot today and I keep seeing my supplies for the Great Pumpkin Hunt and I think it is time that I find a permanent storage bin for it all. Luckily this is a pretty good time of year to find bins on sale!
It seems like everyplace has them on sale. When I was putting away Christmas--even though I purged worn out stuff--I found myself two bins short. As a result, I am on the look out for a couple myself.
I thought sticking with Sterilite would make things stack better but they keep changing their lids so they don't stack how I would like them to so I am now free to look for the best deal
