Happy New Year's Eve Halloween Friends! Something SPOOKY happened yesterday. My daily counts never posted!! I must have thought I posted them but didn't. It's a bummer because I don't think we had ever missed a day in here since I started the 2021 Halloween Thread! Oh well, things happen. We're back on track now!

Today is the final day of 2024. It is also the last day that we have to refer to any of the upcoming holidays as "Next" whatever.

It's the 31st. JOL Days are on my mind once again. We have our first one of 2025 in 31 days. We're now under two weeks to go until we hit the 200 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON milestone, and just 4 days away from reaching our very FINAL 300 level count, that being the "Days to Halloween" count. A new count has joined the lineup. Did you see it? I figured it made since to start on what would normally be a milestone day. 150 Days give or take, and I will be on the other side of everything that I am worried about.

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope your final day of the year is going well. Got out of work a little early. Took Damian to the park in the mild weather (which I don't know when we'll see this again based on the long range forecasts). And now home to relax, have pizza and clean up. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy New Year! It feels so good to be on the other side of "The Slog". I won't have to worry about going through that again for nearly an entire year!

Halloween counts are moving again and looking alive! Just 30 days to go until JOL Day #1, and exactly 90 days to go until Spooky Spring. Wow. A new contestant has entered the race, and that's "Days to The Bers". With today's addition, the counts now have NINE entries. That's the most countdowns I think I've ever ran in here, and that is because when I added the "Days to Baby #2" countdown, it put us at 8 countdowns then, where we normally would begin the new year with only 8.

We're knocking on the door now to the 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone, which will be here on Saturday the 4th! That's the very last time we will see a 300 level count until the 2026 Halloween countdown goes up.

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope you are all doing well to start the new year. It's been good here. Very laid back which is nice. New Year's Day is one of those days you just want to be quiet and laid back if possible. THIS Halloween I can say now. :) Happy Halloween!

We are theoretically protected from the Artic Blast by the Continental Divide, but it is mighty cold and windy here so I am having a hard time believing this. But, Halloween thoughts will help me not notice so much ;)

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's mini Friday! I think it's harder to find days of the week that feel better than Thursday and Friday. You can see now that we're under 30 days until the first JOL Day of 2025, and have dipped under 90 days until Spooky Spring! We're two days away from seeing the very last 300 day count in this thread, that being the 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone that will be here on Saturday!

I'm still excited at the good prospects now of our 1st winter storm, that will hit on Sunday night through Monday. First call totals are 5 to 7 inches. We're hoping that with it starting on Sunday night, we might be missing work on Monday since the city closes a lot during bad weather.

I hope that everyone has a great day! Every day we get closer to THIS OCTOBER!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's finally Friday again! TGIF!

We move forward another day in our countdowns and see that we are standing on the doorstep to the very final 300 level countdown, which is the 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone that will be here TOMORROW!

Just hard to imagine here this early in January that we will be all out of 300's countdowns but here we are.

The conditions are all setting up now for what should be a major winter storm. 2 - 3 inches of snow on Sunday night, and 9-11 more during the day on Monday! So we are hoping to be off work on Monday and maybe have a delay on Tuesday! That would be awesome.

I hope everyone has a great Friday!

**MILESTONE DAY**

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday! And welcome to the very last 300 level count we are ever going to have in this thread! It's hard to imagine it now, but Halloween was a whopping 65 days ago. And believe it or not, we will be ONE QUARTER of the way back to Halloween on January 30th this month!

Our next milestone will be in 9 days when we hit the 200 day milestone to FALL PRESEASON! I can hardly imagine how it will feel seeing that count break back into the 100's!

Today is going to be all about getting ready for the snowstorm coming tomorrow night. I want to get the cars tucked in the driveway here, get the snowblower out and get it staged, I usually park it at the back of the driveway and cover it up under a tarp so it is ready to go in the morning. It's almost a given at this point that there won't be any work on Monday, and county schools will probably be closed most of the week because there isn't a single day before Saturday where it gets above freezing! My perfect scenario is missing work on Monday and then maybe a 2 hour delay or something on Tuesday. Anything beyond missing work Monday is just icing on the cake!

I hear ya. All year I look forward to The 'bers leading up to Christmas, but the couple weeks afterwards really throws me for a loop mentally. I guess my brain just likes some sort of structure. So.... TGI...M in a couple days???

Our local Ollies Closeouts just got some Halloween stuff in. A bit earlier than usual, but works for me. It was mostly fall cereal, but I grabbed a couple and will, hold one for Halfoween. The preservatives will keep it "fresh." And that's the real scary part. :)

Today is all about final preparations for the snow that will begin tonight and last through tomorrow evening. Final calls here are for 8-12" with the possibility of more in higher elevations. We should be off work tomorrow, and maybe even a closure or delay on Tuesday. That would be awesome.
