DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 258
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 232
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 171

Happy March TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 258 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 232 days left until November and 171 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next Milestone arriving in less than a week when we reach the Arrival of Spring. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

In grade school you learn that the first Thanksgiving happened in Plymouth, Massachusetts. However, historians argue that Florida may have been the true site of the first Thanksgiving. A Spanish fleet came to what is now St. Augustine in 1565. To celebrate their accomplishments, 800 Spanish settlers shared a meal with the natives of the land.

Although I am far from a cold weather fan, I think it would be weird for me at least to live in such a warm climate during the holidays. I think if I ever did live in the south, it would be for the winter only (after Christmas though). It’s weird to think of wearing shorts on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. We’ve had some very warm ones before even up north but not on any consistent basis of course. Have a great March TGIF!

I spent a week in Pensacola, FL two weeks before Christmas 2024. It honestly was warm weather, and strangely it didn't feel like Christmas time. We've had very warm weather up here before, one Christmas was almost 70 degrees, it was bizarre. Last year was closer to "normal" as far as temps go. Hoping THIS Christmas it is at least cold, and maybe some snow! Have a great Friday!

We're going to St. Augustine for an anniversary trip in May. You know, that's where the Fountain of Youth is. I drank from it in 2009 and can verify that it didn't work as advertised.

I was in Florida the week after Thanksgiving last year, and it was pretty chilly. So much so, in fact, that we had to buy hats and gloves for our Disney trip. I’m thinking this may have been an anomaly, though. When we got back to Texas, the weather was actually warmer, and I remember being bummed on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day because it wasn’t cold at all.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 257
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 231
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 170

Happy Ides Of March! Today folks we move along and see that we have 257 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 231 days left until November and 170 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland which is winding down believe it or not. Yes, our next milestone will also be the day we start the next section of our year which will be the day spring arrives, which is on Thursday. What a glorious milestone it will be folks. It’s Saturday so time for our Quiet Weekend Period Part 1 of 2. What a week it was. It started really calm actually and then mid-week and on it got hectic again. But now it’s time for a laid-back weekend here. Nothing too crazy this weekend but a little birthday celebration for my sister. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well and enjoying the start to your weekend. I hope your week went well and that it only gets better from here on going forward. Gobble Gobble to you and your family. I hope all is well and that you are enjoying the final weekend of winter. Hard to believe that isn’t it? Next time we’ll have a weekend of winter it will be Christmas Weekend. Pretty amazing if you ask me. The best to you on this Saturday turkey friends. Gobble Gobble. Enjoy it. Have a great Ides Of March!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 256
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 230
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 169

Happy Middle Day Of March! Today folks we move along and see that we have 256 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 230 days left until November and 169 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Thursday when Spring Arrives. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with a handful of days left in it and into the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. No topics today but just fun. And simply looking at the counts. A few little fun nuggets for you are we have 40 full weeks in front of us before Christmas Week. Also, we are just about halfway to autumn now. Can you believe either one of those? Pretty cool if you ask me and makes you realize although things are still far away we still realize that we need to focus on what we’re doing now because eventually those other times of the year will come. Turkey friends enjoy your Sunday. I hope your weekend is going well and that you are enjoying your time as much as you can. Gobble Gobble to you and your family/friends. I wish you all the best and hope you are all doing well. It looks to be a rainy evening tonight but we’re going to my uncle’s to celebrate my sister’s birthday in our weekly group and we will I’m sure talk about the fact we’re almost halfway to our autumn activities. That’s just incredible to think about. Have a great Middle Day Of March!

Edge always seems to know exactly what I need to hear/read! 40 weeks until Christmas Week and halfway to autumn are awesome thoughts. The next month or so is going to be pretty busy so I have been thinking that I need to use Mon-Saturday to focus on the "now" and save the holiday thoughts for Sundays!

Thanks @Edge612!

All of the "halfways" are not far away now - Halfoween at the end of April, Halfway to Thanksgiving in May, and then Halfway to Christmas in June!

Like I said yesterday, business is about to pick up!!

Next weekend will be Halfway to Autumn (officially) and ironically halfway to the date that our Sunday group plans to start our Autumn activities. Hard to believe almost halfway!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 255
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 229
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 168

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today folks we move along and see that we have 255 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 229 days left until November and 168 days to go until The Bers. We move along in the final days of our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving on Thursday. It will be Spring Arriving. Honestly, for someone like me this is about as big as it gets because I truly love spring, summer, fall and the holiday season and all of that is still in front of us. Stress Free Spring will arrive on Thursday with the official start of spring and our next milestone. It’s Monday folks so it’s time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It stands at 36 weeks. Indeed. Moving along into a brand new week. Feeling good. Right? I hope so. And looking forward to spring arriving this week. Of course, today is a green day and St. Patrick’s Day parade will also take place. I wonder if it’s the second biggest parade next to the Thanksgiving Day one? I know if a team wins a championship it turns into a huge parade and the Halloween Parade is big too. But still when you think parade you think Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Right? I think we all do. Turkey friends the best to you to start this brand new week. Have a great St. Patrick’s Day!
