DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 251
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 225
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 164

Happy Spring TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 251 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 225 days left until November and 164 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring Day 2 with our next milestone arriving tomorrow on Saturday with the 250-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday which will be below this line!

Thanksgiving used to look like Halloween

At the turn of the 20th century, Thanksgiving was kind of creepy. Children and adults would dress up in masks and host costume crawls in cities like
New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The tradition of children dressing up as poor people in New York became so popular that Thanksgiving was nicknamed "Ragamuffin Day."

I never heard anything like this before. Thanksgiving like Halloween? Are you trying to make me love Thanksgiving even more than I do? My 2 favorites are back-to-back. I really do love Autumn so much, but I have to say I’m so happy we’re in spring right now and have everything well in front of us still. That’s the best way to keep it as long as we can. Have a great Spring TGIF!

IF this was a guessing game of True or False, I would have solidly voted FALSE! So much fun to be so wrong!

Ragamuffin Day
We need to find a day to celebrate this. Other than Thanksgiving Day.
The Saturday before Thanksgiving, perhaps?

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 250
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 224
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 163

Happy Spring Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 250 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 224 days left until November and 163 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone arriving today at the 250-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. Wow. Awesome. Our next milestone will arrive on Thursday with Tom Turkey Day #4. Big time. That is the opening day of baseball (for most teams). Big day is indeed almost a second start button to spring. Turkey friends I hope you enjoyed your week as we here sit on our Quiet Weekend Period Part 1 of 2. Definitely a nice time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the quiet (if you can). But I hope it’s a good mixture this weekend for you. Pretty busy weekend here but enough down time to enjoy as well. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well and hanging in there. It’s a good day to just relax, chill and enjoy the weekend. Of course, you may have to get that laundry done like I do but that’s just a part of what our weekends usually are like. Gobble Gobble to you and your family/friends as you embark on the first weekend of spring. It just feels awesome to say that if you ask me. Gobble Gobble. Have a great Spring Weekend!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 249
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 223
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 162

Happy Spring Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 249 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 223 days left until November and 162 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress Free Spring feeling good. And glad to be here. And our next milestone will be on Thursday. It will be Tom Turkey Day #4. It’s Sunday so we’re into the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period now. That feels good to me. I love our quiet weekends here. Really every weekend does feel like a holiday and this year I’ve concentrated on it that way too. And taken my time on the weekend to reflect on the holidays, appreciate where we are, get excited about what we have in front of us and never forget the special times of the holiday season. Turkey friends the best to you today on this Sunday. Yes, we still have a turkey. Yes, we will be making it this spring. Spring just started and we want our spring to be as stress free as possible so no rush in making it right now. Just appreciating the early days of spring (even the chilly mornings like this morning). Definitely not ready for shorts season or anything yet here. Just appreciating the lighter jacket season that will be kicking up soon. Gobble Gobble to you my friends. Have a great Spring Sunday!

I'm still trying to figure out how we will do a "Halfsgiving / Halfway Thanksgiving" Dinner in May, since it looks like now we might still be home when Halfway to Thanksgiving hits. Holly might not feel like doing a turkey. We might have to settle for one of the other traditional Thanksgiving sides and be there in spirit. Just too early to tell. Have a great Sunday!

Will you make any make-ahead freezer meals in preparation for Baby #2? My niece and I did a day of freezer meals before her first baby and she said they came in handy in the week or so before the baby came when she didn't feel like cooking! After the baby came they had quite a few meals people brought in and the other freezer meals were put on hold. For Baby #2 we switched and prepped things like pancake bites and energy balls, things that were easy to grab for Baby #1/Toddler to make breakfasts and lunches easier since her husband was always home to help with dinner.

But back to my original point, I think one great way to get a few freezer meals ahead is to make a double batch of your current favorites in the coming weeks and eat one, freeze one. And there are many versions of "Thanksgiving Casseroles" that might be fun to try now and make an extra for your Halfsgiving meal!

Great idea!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 248
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 222
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 161

Happy Final Week Of March! Today folks we move along and see that we have 248 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 222 days left until November and 161 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress Free Spring with our next milestone arriving on Thursday when we reach Tom Turkey Day #4. It’s Monday folks so guess what? We do our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. Can you believe this folks? Today’s number is 35 weeks till Thanksgiving Week. Wow halfway through our 30s? I wish I was in my 30s still age wise lol. But anyway that’s a different topic for a different day. Turkey friends can you believe where we are? And honestly really heading towards the 1/3 marker now till Thanksgiving. Unreal huh? It’s an amazing time to be here where we are. I hope your weekend went well and was fun. Now we begin a new week. I have an odd day off (Wednesday). I used to take Wednesdays at my last job. I looked at it like it breaks up the week nicely in the middle. Doing that for a change instead of a long weekend. Focusing on today and the 2nd half of the road to autumn begins today. Check out the Bers Thread for a little mention of it. 26 weeks from today though is Autumn officially. Turkey friends the best to you as we begin a new week. I hope you are doing well. Have a great Final Week Of March!
