Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

I think the snow here is over and the shoveling wasn't too bad but there is always a chance that it will all blow back in but it felt good to bundle up and get outside and tackle it.

We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone set to arrive on Friday with the all important 300-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It’s Monday folks so time for YouTube Day!



Well, if you ever wanted to know how to catch a turkey you now have learned. They aren’t easy to catch. Nice to have some YouTube clips on Mondays with some fun light-hearted stuff like this besides the recipes, Thanksgiving shows, parade clips and more that we post here on Mondays. I liked this one because it was just a fun short clip to watch. Made for kids but something adults can enjoy. One thing adults may not enjoy is shoveling snow but that’s what I’m up to today some besides working from home. The snowstorm hit big on Sunday for a lot of people. I hope everyone got through it ok and is ready to start off their new week here in the heart of winter. Gobble Gobble my turkey friends. Have a great Final Week Of January!​

Happy Monday! Kids were off school today and we scored a random freezing rain tonite. I am well over winter now. Between the cold and snow....

Happy Latter January! Today folks we move along and see that we have 303 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 278 days left until November and 217 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone set to arrive on Friday with the 300-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It will be the final of the 3’s portion of this entire thread. It’s Tuesday folks so time for Picture Day. Maybe if you take pictures right now you’ve got a ton of snow out there like I do. It makes me wish for those days I could see the lawn and all the leaves falling on it. Those were the best days. And walking around in a nice comfortable light jacket and feeling like this is perfect. Not too hot and not too cold. But we’d like to see any pictures you have of Autumn and/or Thanksgiving. Those are 2 of my favorite words in the entire world and I hope to see you bring some nice pictures of both today. The best to you my turkey friends and I hope you are doing well. I’m fine, maybe with just a tiny bit of soreness from shoveling. I think that it was quite a storm to shovel and I’m in good shape but you kind of wake up a little tired and are like wow that was a lot of work shoveling all that snow. I'm definitely feeling my age after going through that storm. I plowed my driveway here twice and shoveled the front and back porch. Then yesterday went down and opened up my Mom's house and my Grandma's house.

I got home yesterday afternoon and everything on me hurt to the point that I was worried that I was getting sick. I feel a lot better this morning, just stiff.

It's really going to be something when we see no more 300's in this thread! That's rapidly approaching!

What’s your thoughts on January’s length?

A.) It seems like a regular month to me.
B.) It seems to go faster than most months to me.
C.) It seems to go slower than most months to me.
D.) January must be 40 days long, at least with how long it takes.

Easy for me I’m saying D. I always joke it feels like January is 40 days long and it feels like it this year with the winter we’re having. The thing is why can’t we have the spring months do that and The Bers months? I hope everyone has a great day today despite the winter weather conditions out there you may experience. I'm alternating between C and D on this one. Obviously we know that January isn't truly 40 days long, but the winter weather and forcing everybody inside for the past few days has really made it feel long. But for me personally, ever since the weekend ended, I feel like we are moving again.

I do look forward to February again because my weekends are going to get busy with working on equipment and doing oil changes / maintenance, etc, and I think having something to focus on every week (Just like I do saving money for Christmas 2026) is going to help me blast through whats left of winter.

I'm ready for January to go! It has treated me better this year than most years, but it still needs to go, lol.
