I feel ready for the first week of Spooky Spring! I am going to work on filling some eggs for this year's Great Pumpkin Hunt and keeping an eye out for Easter stuff on sale that I can use in October. I haven't decided what Halloween movies to watch but I also like to watch old sitcom holiday episodes, so I'll probably start with a quick search of best Halloween episodes!

I’m so excited for April. March has been mostly a bust for me, so I’m glad to finally move on to Spooky Spring. The party starts for me tomorrow with JOL Day!

I’ve been thinking about what I could do this year for my Spooky Spring theme, and I think I’ve settled on an answer: Alfred Hitchcock. I’ll admit that I have never seen an Alfred Hitchcock film, and all of my knowledge of them is secondhand, even The Birds. So I thought that for this month I would finally sit down and experience them firsthand. Any recommendations are welcomed!

Before that, though, I think I’m going to take the rest of this week (Wednesday - Sunday) and devote that to Easter. It feels kind of wrong to delve into psychological horror before I celebrate the resurrection of my Savior. That's a sentence I never thought I’d type.
Definitely Psycho! Birds is good as is North by Northwest. Rear Window, Rope and North by Northwest also good. I haven't seen all of his movies, but that's a decent starter pack.

JOL Day #3.jpg

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's indeed Jack O Lantern Day once again! And this one has the special distinction of being on Spooky Spring Eve!

Tomorrow, we lose our "Spooky Spring" count, that we have carried on this thread since November 1st! And also tomorrow it's a special day, not just because we officially begin Spooky Spring, but we also are HALF WAY back to October, tomorrow!

My week is moving along now, the frights of Monday are over, so in many ways, today is almost like my "Wednesday", since I am off on Good Friday. I'm ready for my long weekend! Have a great day!

Happy JOL Day, everyone! Exciting times are ahead…not only are we on the welcome mat for Spooky Spring, but today is also the last day of the first quarter of the year. Tomorrow starts a new, and much better, quarter!

I’ve got some spookiness to get into today, and then a brief Easter hiatus before I join you all for Spooky Spring on Monday!

It all begins tomorrow.

SPOOKY SPRING IS OFFICIALLY HERE!

Good Wednesday Morning, Pumpkin People! The official beginning to Spooky Spring is finally here!

I remember being in 2025 in the early stages of the Halloween "afterglow". Even with Christmas Season arriving imminently, there was this feeling of missing Halloween and Spooky Season. Hard to describe really how you can miss a season while being so deep in Christmas / Thanksgiving, but the feeling was there. And I remember being in late December and just wishing for that first JOL Day and back then Spooky Spring felt like it was a million miles away.

But now it's here. I wish for a full, long month full of October feels. The weather is going to cooperate for the most part. And I have my movie schedule, and my electric Jack O Lanterns. It's going to be easy to catch Fall Feels.

Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

We are indeed halfway now on our journey back to October.

And our next milestone will be on Saturday when we reach 150 DAYS TO THE BERS. That's a scary one to write, how can that one already be creeping up?

Today is indeed my "Friday" at work, as I am off tomorrow for Good Friday.

My Spooky Spring movie month continues tonight with "Carrie (1978)".

Have a great day!

I love it when we cross this milestone. We should begin seeing a lot of Halloween related news now as well as some “Halfoween” special events, and maybe even a preview of some of this year’s Halloween candy. For the briefest of moments, Spooky Spring feels like Halloween season.

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's a cloudy and chilly day here. But after the winter we had friends 40s and 50s is beautiful to me. I'll take it. I LOVE that we're officially Halfway to October today (mathematically 26 weeks from today). It makes me SMILE. Happy Halloween!

Let me tell you something folks, today FEELS like Halloween Season. It's in the 50's. I was playing the Halloween playlist in the Jeep and riding with the windows down. Some of the trees downtown haven't bloomed yet, for a few minutes there one could think that it was OCTOBER.

We're only on the second day of Spooky Spring, but this weather has been delivering. We're firing on all cylinders so far!

Happy Milestone Eve, Friday Friends! It's GOOD FRIDAY! I'm off work today, going to take care of some errands and then the plan is to mow the back yard. Mowing Season is finally here!

I got the jitters looking at the counts this morning. 120 DAYS to Fall Preseason - roughly 4 months! And the big milestone will be TOMORROW, when we reach 150 DAYS TO THE BERS. I still have to double check these counts any time I post something like that!

Spooky Spring continues! I hope everyone is enjoying it! Have a great day!
