I had the strongest taste for turkey and gravy last night! I am so ready for Thanksgiving!

Sweatfest '26 is here!TGIF!! Its a regular Sweatfest '26 now. Took the day off and we are heading to Attica Raceway today. I was going to go originally to Knoxville but fuel prices are so high atm. Boys were ready to go so they can hit up the energy drink vendors.
They expect close to normal and maybe slightly below normal temps for us through the 2nd half of June (which is still warm enough no need for above normal this time of year)!I think the SweatFest is truly here now. Yesterday was almost 100, though I was in the hospital for the worst part of it. Today is in the 90s but it backs off for a couple of days this week as the rains move in. I think at this point in the year, all I can do is try and hide from the heat as best I can. We are in the territory now of doing mowing very early in the morning, and late in the evening. I knew it was coming!
It's about 38 days until we hit the peak hottest day of the summer. After that there is a very small, but increasingly noticeable difference as we move closer to August. It's usually honestly pretty fine weather by Fall Preseason - Hot during the day, but cool nights and cool mornings!
Yum!I had the strongest taste for turkey and gravy last night! I am so ready for Thanksgiving!
Enjoy the week off!Happy Monday to all! I don't go back to work until 6/22!
Looking back now with how Holly is doing, I could have worked this week, but I wasn't sure what the recovery was going to be like. And we didn't have a 100% way to know if she was going to have laparoscopy or "regular" open-you-up surgery. If she would have had that, it would have been much more brutal and we would probably we not doing much all week. But she's doing fine, we're going to try and do a few easy things with the kids this week, everyone likes being off work! Have a great day!
Always better to be prepared than to have to scramble to make sure you have everything covered. I am sure you will find many fun things to do and enjoy some quiet time as a family. And maybe a few daydreams about 6 months from now, eh?Happy Monday to all! I don't go back to work until 6/22!

I'm looking forward to it also. I hope they don't get stupid with it or overdo it, and the parade doesn't feel like the parade we love.I wonder what they’re going to do for the 100th parade this year. I know I’ve pondered this at least 16 times already in this thread, but it’s just so exciting that I can’t help but wonder out loud.
They haven’t updated the parade website yet, so I guess the plan is to keep me in suspense until September or October!
