DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 167
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 142
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 81

Happy Dozen Days Of June! Today folks we move along and see that we have 167 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 142 days left until November and 81 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone expected to arrive in 1 week and 2 days when we reach the Arrival of Summer. It’s Friday folks so it’s time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

Data from the US Poultry and Egg Association, Americans consume more than 45 million turkeys on Thanksgiving, compared to 22 million at Christmas and 19 million on Easter. Fully half of all whole turkeys eaten in the U.S. are consumed on Thanksgiving Day.

I’ve heard of turkey being big on Christmas. But on Easter? I didn’t know. Interesting how almost half the amount of turkey is consumed on Christmas than on Thanksgiving. I would have expected that to be lower to be honest. The best to you all my turkey friends as we move along on a Friday. I wish you the best and hope you are doing well today. Make the most of your Friday. Enjoy it. Be good and have fun. The best to you my turkey gobblers. You are all the best and I hope you know it. Have a great Dozen Days Of June!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 166
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 141
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 80

Happy June Teens! Today folks we move along and see that we have 166 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 141 days left until November and 80 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive 1 week from tomorrow as Summer Arrives. It’s Saturday folks so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. Believe it or not it should be a quiet weekend here. I’m thankful for that and just celebrating my birthday with the Sunday Group tomorrow. For now, doing my usual Saturday stuff and making the most of the day. Also, want to watch the NBA Finals Game 5 tonight. It’s been a heck of a series and everyone in NY is hyped right now for the Knicks. That’s the weekend plans here for the most part. And keeping that a/c running as we are into summer type of weather consistently now. That always helps as we stretch ourselves towards “official” summer which will begin 1 week from Sunday. The best to you my turkey friends. I hope you enjoy your Saturday and that you are doing well. I hope your week went well also. It’s been a good one overall. The best to you all. Make the most of it and have fun today, this Saturday friends. Have a great June Teens!

I think the SweatFest is truly here now. Yesterday was almost 100, though I was in the hospital for the worst part of it. Today is in the 90s but it backs off for a couple of days this week as the rains move in. I think at this point in the year, all I can do is try and hide from the heat as best I can. We are in the territory now of doing mowing very early in the morning, and late in the evening. I knew it was coming!

It's about 38 days until we hit the peak hottest day of the summer. After that there is a very small, but increasingly noticeable difference as we move closer to August. It's usually honestly pretty fine weather by Fall Preseason - Hot during the day, but cool nights and cool mornings!

They expect close to normal and maybe slightly below normal temps for us through the 2nd half of June (which is still warm enough no need for above normal this time of year)!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 165
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 140
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 79

Happy Flag Day! Today folks we move along and see that we have 165 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 140 days left until November and 79 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive 1 week from today when the official start of summer begins. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. It’s going to be an interesting simple Sunday. The Sunday Group will have a little birthday party for me. We always celebrate each person’s birthday in the group with good food, games, gifts and a cake. It’s always a fun time and kind of fun to just play games and relax. We do so many fun activities and have so many plans this summer that it’s nice to have a quieter Sunday near home base and just enjoying each other’s company. It’s Sunday and I hope you all enjoy your day, my friends. It’s another day here on this journey through the 1st half of the month of June. Almost at halftime and a week from the official start of summer but most of us have been in summer mode the last couple of weeks and the weather has made it feel that way too. Turkey friends enjoy your Sunday. The best to you, all my friends. Have a great Flag Day!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 164
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 139
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 78

Happy Mid-June! Today folks we move along and see that we have 164 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 139 days left until November and 78 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone now less than 1 week away when we reach the Arrival of Summer. It’s Monday folks so it’s time for our favorite YouTube Day below!

Today we go to the 2025 Macy’s Parade. I think it’s time to rewatch a little bit of it here in the middle of the month of June when nobody else is thinking about it other than us. That parade always makes me smile. I hope you are doing well here, my friends, as we begin a new week together. And I hope you are excited here in what most of us consider summer for sure despite it not being officially “summer”. I like our seasons better than the ones that we are taught as kids. Turkey friends enjoy your Monday. Start off your week right. I’m taking Summer Vacation #1 this week. I have 3 main ones plus a few other long weekends mixed in this summer. The best to you, all my friends and I hope you are having the best Monday you can have. Have a great Mid-June!

Happy Monday to all! I don't go back to work until 6/22!

Looking back now with how Holly is doing, I could have worked this week, but I wasn't sure what the recovery was going to be like. And we didn't have a 100% way to know if she was going to have laparoscopy or "regular" open-you-up surgery. If she would have had that, it would have been much more brutal and we would probably we not doing much all week. But she's doing fine, we're going to try and do a few easy things with the kids this week, everyone likes being off work! Have a great day!

I wonder what they’re going to do for the 100th parade this year. I know I’ve pondered this at least 16 times already in this thread, but it’s just so exciting that I can’t help but wonder out loud.

They haven’t updated the parade website yet, so I guess the plan is to keep me in suspense until September or October!

Always better to be prepared than to have to scramble to make sure you have everything covered. I am sure you will find many fun things to do and enjoy some quiet time as a family. And maybe a few daydreams about 6 months from now, eh?

I'm looking forward to it also. I hope they don't get stupid with it or overdo it, and the parade doesn't feel like the parade we love.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 163
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 138
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 77

Happy 2nd Half Of June! Today folks we move along and see that we have 163 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 138 days left until November and 77 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive on Sunday with the official Arrival of Summer. It’s Tuesday folks so time for our Picture Day. This is one of our favorites and especially when we are technically in the summer season which most of us consider us being there here in the month of June. When those hot days approach (and we’ve had some already) you really need a little taste of fall on Tuesdays here. Post those pictures of Autumn and Thanksgiving here today folks and cool off if it’s too hot out there. We are forecasted to have a below average summer from what I saw yesterday. But who knows, I feel like they change these predictions constantly. It’s tough to predict the weather today let alone a month or 2 months from now. But the pattern shouldn’t be as hot as some summers. That’s what I hear at least for now. Turkey friends enjoy your Tuesday here in the month of June. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the 2nd day of the week as much as you can today. Have a great 2nd Half Of June!
