Happy October TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 55 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 30 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive on Wednesday. It will be when we reach the Final Fifty till Thanksgiving. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

The British don’t officially celebrate Thanksgiving, but they do celebrate "Brits-giving."
Oh yes, it's a real thing. The British increasingly embrace the American tradition to celebrate gratitude and national pride. But it wouldn't be a truly British tribute without their own unique take on the holiday. Hence, the origination of "Brits-giving." Whatever they want to call the compassionate tradition, we're happy to welcome them to our table.

So, I guess I should have heard of this, but I never have. Then again that’s why we have Fun Fact Friday. To educate us of all these little things you never think about or heard about. DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 29

Happy October Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 54 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 29 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive on Wednesday with the Final Fifty till Thanksgiving. It’s Saturday folks so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. And it’s not really a quiet weekend here but I would say it’s a very fun weekend. I’ll get all my stuff done in between but we’re going apple picking on Saturday and to the city for a Halloween Play on Sunday. You can’t beat that. Getting to be with the Sunday Group on both weekend days is a special treat. We are in rare Fall Form now if you couldn’t tell. But yeah, I’m ready for a big weekend. Apple picking is one of those very simple activities. And yet I think that’s what I love about it. It just makes you really think about autumn and feel it. And it’s become a big tradition in my family for a while now. Many years and we really love going on a Saturday to free up an extra Sunday. We have too many big Sunday Halloween and Fall stuff to be able to put Apple Picking there. The best to you my turkey friends. DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 28

Happy October Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 53 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 28 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive on Wednesday. That’s 3 days from now until we reach the Final Fifty till Thanksgiving. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. And it’s going to be not so quiet for The Sunday Group. And that’s the way we love it. We’re going to do our first ever October City Trip with Brunch, A Halloween Show and Dinner. What a triple threat as we always do. This will be our first ever City Trip in the month of October. We have not missed a month this year and last year the only month we missed was October. Normally we do Halloween Season locally and not in the city but this year we love the city so much we made sure we would find a way to combine Halloween and the city, and we have. It’s going to be a blast I hope just like apple picking was yesterday. I hope everyone enjoys their October days. These days are about as special as it gets for me. I love them very much. Happy Sunday Folks! Holly made my Grandma's potato casserole last night and it made me think of a meal that we would eat for Thanksgiving! There will be more and more "Thanksgiving Thoughts" as we get closer and closer to November.

Happy October Week! Today folks we move along and see that we have 52 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 27 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive on Wednesday which is the day after tomorrow. It’s Monday folks so time for YouTube Day below!

This is fun to me because I work for an engineering company. So, poking and having a little fun at them while still getting into the Thanksgiving Spirit. A lot of fun to be had if you want to check out that clip. It’s another new week friends in The Bers and I hope your October is going really awesome like mine is. It was quite a double header this weekend. I decided I was talking too much about The Sunday Group in several threads, so I decided to cut back on it and focus more on a new thread “The Sunday Group” named after the group but really kind of a Saturday Morning Thread that is for Sunday. It shouldn’t get cheated. For me at least it’s the most fun day of the week. Enjoy your Monday. Have a great October Week!

Happy Thanksgiving! We're working our way towards a 3 day weekend. It will also be exciting this weekend to celebrate being just one month away from Thanksgiving. We've talked about it a few times, I've mentioned it before but I love when Thanksgiving conversations happen organically, any Big 3 Holiday discussion, honestly. And we are in the prime time for all of that now.

Alright: a turkey has been procured for a “practice run” this weekend. I’m going to try smoking my own cajun turkey this year and beat Popeye’s at their own game. This first test run is a smaller turkey and only cost me $12, and if it goes well then I’ll up the size for the next trial. Haven’t decided if I will spatchcock this one or not, even though it seems like most bbq blogs recommend it.

I have room in my freezer for the turducken, turkey breast and ham! I've been eating down that freezer all Summer.

Happy Overly October! Today folks we move along and see that we have 51 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 26 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive tomorrow. It will be the Final Fifty till Thanksgiving. It’s Tuesday folks so time for our Picture Day. And this is the day we all love to post pictures of Fall/Thanksgiving. This is the best time of year to do it because we’re in that fall season. Thanksgiving is still far off but that’s okay because that means we are in the month of October. This is still my favorite month of the year. The best to you my turkey friends and I hope your week got off to a great start yesterday. I wish you all well here on Tuesday as well. Gobble Gobble my turkey friends.
