Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

Me, too. The condo has a bingo party Tuesday evening, then a Halloween party Saturday night. Then we set the clocks back, thank you Lord! I so hate getting to Publix when it's pitch black outside and I'm definitely a morning person.
When I wake up on Sunday, it'll be November 1 and I still have so much to do.
I know I'm way slower than I was when working, but it seems like I have less time now that when I worked.

On Thanksgiving Day what kind of dressing do you like? Not salad dressing. I mean dressing made of cornbread, chicken broth etc. I like it homemade. But I have heard people adds pecan, cranberries and apple to theirs. I like mine with chicken. I had a aunt one time added oysters to her and I could not eat it. It had that fishy taste to it.

Happy Halloween Week! Today folks we move along and see that we have 31 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 6 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive all the way at the end of next weekend on Sunday. It will be when November Arrives. Hard to believe that isn’t it? I remember when we started YouTube Day on Mondays last year in November. And here we are all this time later and still enjoying them. Amazing. I think it’s caught on for sure and think it should be renewed. But you’ll all let me know when the time comes. For now, we’re solidly in this thread from here on out. Same here it's not my favorite!
I've been schooled in the proposition that "stuffing" was cooked inside the turkey, and "dressing" was cooked in its own pan. Our dressing is essentially spoonable cornbread, with a touch of sage and other spice. As for adding oysters, nope. My Dad's family used to add them to the holiday mac and cheese. Not my favorite when I was a kid; don't know how it would land now.

We are in a great spot my friends right now on the calendar as we move ahead towards Halloween. What a great spot we’re in my friends. I love this time of year, and I know all of you do too and I’m loving the Halloween Thread right now. It’s just such a special week there and I always link this thread and that thread more than any other two threads on MMC because to me Halloween and Thanksgiving really go together more than any 2 holidays do.
