Christmas Countdown - 2009

Good Thursday afternoon, everyone!
Undrtakr - I love Jingle All the Way!
My family is attending "Camp Meeting" all week this week. It is a Methodist retreat out in the boonies that has a HUGE open-air tabernacle (it has a roof, pews, ceiling fans and an altar). There are services every evening and day bible school for the youth.
The most unusual thing about it is, many of the local families have what they call "tents" on the property. The "tents" are actually very old, not-so-modern block and wooden cabins. Not all even have running water. But the folks "camp out" for the week and LOVE it! My inlaws have a large block building with 6 small bedrooms and they now have hot water!
I don't sleep well in different environments, though, so I'm very tired this week. It's only a few miles from my house, but my wife and kids love it, and I don't sleep well at home alone, so I'm darned if I do, and darned if I don't.
I hope all of my Christmas friends are getting their sleep this week, 'cause I sure ain't!

Hello! It's a dreary day here. Started off with some heavy all night at work. It's brightened up a little out there but, the mood for the day was set this morning when I left work so I've been lounging around and I just woke up from a sleep (thanks to my dog) and I thought that I'd stop in here and see what's up! Now, I'm going to go back to sleep, hopefully. Have a nice day everyone!!
Good Afternoon everyone! Tomorrow my work is celebrating CHRISTMAS IN JULY! Im so excited. My 2 year old son and I will be making and decorating Christmas sugar cookies tonight cheesy for me to bring into work tomorrow. Also we are exchanging gifts at work ($5 limit..and there are only 3 of us) and listening to Christmas CD's all day long! Im really looking forward to this. Then Im going to the Ocean this weekend! Plus QVC will be airing their Christmas in July show! Hope everyone is having a great day!

That's a great idea, MsChristmas! I'm going to do something for my friends tomorrow - we are getting together to do dinner and a concert. Should be fun and what a surprise for them if they get gifts!
I work for an Insurance company and some of our customers think we are crazy when they come in to get insurance or pay their bills and we have Christmas music playing...lol but others enjoy it! This is our 2nd year doing our Christmas in July celebration!

Well not much going on today. I had to take mom to the doctor yesterday for her weekly check up and the doctor said so far so good. There is one little spot on her heel that has not healed good yet but everything else looks good and he said that the spot on the heel is a hunderd times better from last week. I then took my mom by my sisters to see my nieces and the oldest one had to come home with us for the night. So I have been babysitting her and mom all day long. My niece was good though and helped me clean out the freezer, run the sweeper, put out the sun TEA, and do laundry. Now I just need to run to the store tonight or tommorrow morning and finish getting everything for my christmas in july dinner on saturday. Hope everyone has a Great Day or at least what is left of it.
gon have my second cup of java now...work a bit....then do the house...and then cook...busy...but alright....might drive to the city to show a couch to my fiance that I would like to have....we could pay it for 24 months..for 33 euro the month....would be doable I think.
oh yeah....153 days til Christmas

With a bit of luck and life/work schedules willing, our resident music gurus, RadioJonD and Jayish have both said they will try and stop by to give us the benefit of their mental festive catalogues or, at least, let us know how they put a show together. I, for one, haven't a clue how a radio show is put together and really want to know!!!!
You'll find this post in random places throughout the site which will hopefully jog memories. If I let you know too early, people forget to come. If I let you know round about now, people forget to come!!! If I have it plastered everywhere, it might help everyone remember!!!!!!!!

gettin ready to leave for my moms....we go to the cemetery today and put new flowers to my great-uncles grave and get leaves off them as well...then...I don´t know
