a sad morning here

just got the news that our pastors son will not be with us much longer. He has been battling a rare form of leukemia for a year and his last treatment was not successful, 90% of his cells are leukemia blasts. All they can do is keep him comfortable. While we know he is going to soon be sitting in the presence of Jesus, we here are going to miss this vibrant outgoing young man. (he just turned 19 a couple of weeks ago)

Well today is a day of sitting around waiting for the cable repairman to come tell me he doesn't know what is wrong. I love it when they say they will be here sometime after 8am and 8pm. You think they could be a bit more spefic. Well hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Well, who could pass up free camel rides? Count me in!

Its 66 this morning in St. Louis - I can't even believe how wonderful the weather has been! We've set 2 records for the lowest high temperature in the last week! Rumor is that Friday we are supposed to get back to normal temps.

Yesterday, we took our in-laws for a great mid-western experience. We went peach picking and then lunch at a little country restaurant. They loved it and now I have soooo many peaches now! We'll be making peach jam, peach cobbler, peach syrup, peach everything!!!

Minta, I've been in quite the Holiday mood lately too!! I popped in a Christmas cd in the car on my way to the grocery store Monday night! It's so chilly & dreary here today...great day for candles & baking, &... :-D I'm hoping that it's still raining tonight so I can watch a movie & not feel like I'm missing a nice night outside! Lol!! I should have The Shop Around The Corner waiting for me in my mailbox from Netflix when I go home for lunch today!!! I'm excited to watch it!!
