They said the boy that was hit by lightning seems to be responding well. We were all happy for that.

My company has planned a family day this afternoon at the local waterpark. They've rented the park for the afternoon and we're having pizza. I can't believe we're going to shut down production at 2:00 pm, but we are!

Glad to hear that the boy is responding well. He will continue to be in my prayers.

Well, yet another milestone is upon us, guys.
That's right, we have arrived at the 3/4 Mark to the Season!
Wow! Seventy-Five percent of the way back 'round. Unbelievable!
Days to the Season: 91
Days to Christmas Day:133.

We are almost to the most wonderful time of year. I can't belive how fast this year is going. Hopefully the christmas season doesn't fly by as quick.

Well not much going on today. It is going to be a hot and humid weekend so I have a feeling that I will be staying inside and watching nascar. The colts first preseason football game is on tonight so I will watch it. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!

Good morning everyone!

Here it is, the 3/4 mark until the Season! It's all coming so soon. Glad we all could share another milestone together. I do believe the next milestone is 2/3 until Christmas, which takes place on August 25... only 11 days away! Then, the Christmas milestones continue into September. Unfortunately, there isn't another Seasonal Milestone until October... Oh well, at least we have other dates to be excited about!

Anyway, it's another beautiful day here in Ottawa. The humidex has already reached 31 C. It should climb throughout the day as well.

I will be away all weekend as I am attempting my bus trip of boredom. 12 hours home and 12 hours back to Ottawa so that I can attend my friend's wedding. The ride will not be enjoyable but she is going look beautiful when she walks down the aisle, so that will be entirely worth it. Plus, it is good to see some family as well (although my brother and dad will be in Green Bay attending a preseason game at Lambeau). Hopefully I will be able to sleep well on the bus.

HI Y´all. Back in the house now after the girls were playin in the babypool. My niece, Kandice and my Godchild Kimberly I got every Friday through Sunday. I cooked some rice now and will continue later with some chili con carne.....The kids are gon watch "The Land Before Time".

I love it...I will read then, Jones will be on the net...or vice versa...

Today is the first day of school for my kids, so we went to assembly last night for orientation. They said the boy that was hit by lightning seems to be responding well. We were all happy for that.

I'm so glad that the kid seems to be doing okay - how scary for him! I was driving home about a week ago and something similar happened. I had kind of been watching a storm off in the distance while driving down the highway. It was at least 10 miles away. All of the sudden, out of nowhere, there was a huge CRACK! and I saw the bolt of lightening come down on the highway maybe 50 yards in front of me! I have never been so scared in my life. Thankfully it didn't seem to hit anyone or cause an accident at least. It took me about 30 min. to calm down from that one.

Lightening is one of those wonders of nature. It is so powerful and dangerous, yet I find myself intrigued by it.
