Christmas Countdown - 2009

I was talking to my sister last night and told her that the one grocery store had a really good sale on powered sugar and that she should get some to put back for her bukeye bars she likes to make at christmas. She told me that I was crazy trying to buy stuff this early and put back. I told her that I might be crazy but I am not the one that has to run to the grocery store on christmas eve like she does every year to finish buying everything for christmas dinner. I told her in fact that I already have everything bought to make the dishes that I am bringing for thanksgiving and christmas dinner at her house and now I am working on stocking up on everything I need to make my cookies and candy. She said that was great but she will worry about it after my nieces birthday on november 17th. Some people just don't like to be organized and prepared in advance I guess.

I completely understand how you feel. I recently stocked up on sugar for my holiday baking, bought several 5 lb bags pretty cheap. I informed a couple other family members about stocking up for their holiday baking because it was cheap they pretty much blew me off. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. Oh well at least I know we will be ready!

Good evening all.....Oh man it has been a LONG LONG DAY! Had our yard sale today and it went pretty good. Got rid of at least 1/2 of the stuff. We had people showing up while we were setting at 6:30 this morning...

Well I am off to bed..... so tired.....good night all.

Good morning, friends! Hope this finds you as happy as me! Just sit down to have some coffee and guess what I have on my dvr....Holiday Inn....so I'm watching it now!

Track, it's going to be a beautiful day here, too! Going to cook supper for the wife and I for the week and then it's outside to play and have fun! This is the last weekend before kids report back to school, so I'm making an extra effort to do extra relaxing and playing!

We went the company "Family Day" at the water park yesterday afternoon and had a blast! It's a huge park, and the only people there were company guys and their families... Lots of fun and no waiting to get in the big slides!

Well it is 10 am here and it is already hot and humid outside. I just got back from going to the grocery store. I need to go to another grocery store but I will wait until tommorrow to do that. The rest of the day will be spent watching nascar coverage. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!

OK, our end-of-the-week count:
Days to the Season: 89
Days to Christmas Day:131.
Not much over a week now to the 2/3 Christmas Day Milestone.
Time is moving quickerer and quickerer, friends!

Calm here this morning with a muted sun.
We stand right at 80 degrees.
Should be dry today, or so the weather service says.

I hope you had a great week and will have a Super Sunday.
We start moving yet another week closer to Christmas tomorrow!

@crown....is quickerer a word even?....but then...I think to express the joy of getting closer to the season every word and sound that fits exists.

Our day was great...just hangin outside with the kids....playing in the water in the babypool....yes...I´m pretty much the only parent who jumps around with the kids...in the baby pool...so much fun seeing the kids laugh and hearing the scream of joy...haha...later on...around 7 we will go for a walk with Kandice, so she can ride her bike a bit...and maybe have a drink or two
