Well...another weekend over...another week coming....BUT ANOTHER DAY CLOSER TO CHRISTMAS! It's all worth it when you look at each day as another day closer to Christmas. My wife is really starting to talk alot about Christmas. She keeps telling me how much longer until she gets to listen to Christmas music....I'm like...you can do that now if you want to!
Going to be a busy week...Meeting Monday and Tuesday night....schools starts Wednesday....I will wake up in the morning and not stop until next weekend...oh, the life......

Nice, calm and sunny here this morning, where we currently stand at a nice, walkable 74 degrees here in Raleigh.
Only about a 25% chance of rain for today and the next several, making walks all that much more possible.

Good morning everyone! Welcome to another week. I've got a horrible case of the Mondays here. It is 70 and pooring down rain and well, work just seems to be the furthest thing from my mind right now. Each Monday does bring us a step closer to the holiday season and for that I will be happy!

I couldn't belive that those little rain showers kept finding the track. At least it only caused a few delays and didn't rain it out again. It was a good day though with Dale JR finishing third!!!!!!!!!!cheesy

The plan for today is to run to the grocery store and then to hobby lobby. I can't belive we have flown through another week and are now half way through august. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!
Good morning, everyone!!
I returned to Ottawa at 7 am this morning and went straight to work at 7:30... This means I will get to leave an hour earlier... Hooray! For a bus sleep, I am surprisingly not too tired, so it should be a great day after all. Of course, the facts that we are only a week away from our next milestone as well as in the 80s for the countdown to the Christmas Season may have me already looking past how I should be feeling and thinking about the future!
Anyway, aside from the rides, the trip was quite enjoyable. It's always good to see family, especially since they treat me so well. Unsurprisingly, my mom and I talked about Christmas a lot. Even my grandmother, who now lives in a Retirement home, mentioned it and asked what was happening. This talk, of course, always makes me smile.
The wedding was great! My friend - the bride - looked stunning and I could not be happier for her. We've only talked a few times per year since high school (and have seen eachother even less, especially in the past few years), but it's still like we're best friends whenever we're around. I could not help but beam with pride as she walked down the aisle. I am truly glad I made the trip and I thank everyone on here for the support to do so. The ceremony was short and enjoyable and the reception was fun and delicious! Again, thanks to everyone who wished me well on the weekend trip, I appreciate the assistance on returning safely.
Unfortunately, I forgot my awesome pillow in my apartment and was forced to sleep on a sweater for my ride back to the Sault. I did not bring a blanket either, so the ride was a little chilly. My mom gave me a pillow for the ride back, which helped tremendously! All the way to Vancouver? I do not think I could ever do that! These 12 hours bus rides have been haunting me since I moved away in 2003! I'm sure it was a great time though... I have never heard a bad thing about Vancouver. Everyone who travels there never wants to come home, either. At least you had an adventure you will always remember.
Glad to see everyone is in great spirits here. Enjoy the Monday and have a safe work week, everyone! Each day brings us closer and closer!

It's pretty nice here, a little overcast and humid. We've been getting some rain from the storm over Florida, but that just means I don't have to water my pecan trees!

Good Afternoon everyone. It has been a very busy day for me today. Glad it's almost over. It is also very hot and icky outside.....
Yesterday I made a loaf of banana nut bread....the house was smelling very festive. Then I decided to take inventory of all the gifts we got the kids for Christmas and I discovered a bag of gifts that I had forgotten about. Bought them back in Feburary, stuck the bag in the attic but it never made it into the totes. So the kids are now more then 1/2 way done. Just need to get their main gifts and the rest of their stocking stuffers and they will be done.
Well have a nice evening all....
