I'm going to....getting the recipe right now!
Well if you buy them in a box pre made, go down to your local Aldi! They do the best pre made mince pies EVER! There are in a black and silver box and they are called the best or finest or something like that. The best bit is, they have them in right now!

Good morning!
Everything is hooked up again in my new home, but not everything is over here yet. Have to go back and clean and move all those little things yet that we did not get around on Saturday.
I love my new kitchen! (my old place the kitchen was just a hallway with counters, crowded with 2 people in it...my new one is hughe with room for a large table + my desk & computer & file cabinet too in the one corner)
I now have to get used to a room that is just a living room. (rather than a dinning room, office and living room combined) I need more furniture!!

Good morning! I haven't been on MMC for a while. It feels like forever, but it's only been a couple of days. I ran around and tied up a lot of loose ends this weekend. I still have a few loose ends to tie up throughout the week too.
I can't believe how close we are to the season. My Halloween decorations are up. In 3 weeks I carve the pumpkins with my siblings. In 4 weeks it's Halloween. And the day after that I get married!! And then I go on a honeymoon for a week and come back to chillier weather and more Christmas decorations at the stores!!!!
This is just way too much excitement for me. I think I need to lie down. cheesy

The start of another week, and another dollar as they say.
Heading into a long weekend up here in the great white north.
Saw some video footage on the Can. weather network channel this morning showing that Calgary got some snow yesterday....wow!!
That's early. And they had some as late as June but then they had an awesome July were we got nothing but rain and really didn't get to much summer weather until Aug. and it's hard to believe that we just a few weeks away to the start of the season and back into wintery weather.
Signs of snow kinda makes you want to start thinking about Xmas music, despite it being a few weeks early yet.
Speaking of which, I'm curious to know when is it ok to start listening to Xmas music?
I try to wait until Nov. but even the last week of Oct when we get under that '2 months away' window, it gets harder and harder to stay away from it.

Good to hear your move went well. I'm still struggling to fill my new house too. I agree with ballcoach that growing problems are good problems.
Hey, nice to see that I'm not the only one who just moved to a new home! SO nice once it's finally done, isn't it!
I used to wait until after Thanksgiving. But since I've been a member of the MMC forums, I've been listening whenever the mood strikes me. I'm listening right now.

i always have Christmas music on my iPod so whenever i need to be cheered up and get into a happy mood, i turn it on....was out walking on Saturday through Hyde Park here in London and it was really cold and the first proper autumn day....the walk was SO lovely with Christmas music in my ears Yeah, all this Xmas talk makes you want to listen to it, I agree but I am trying to refrain myself. LoL!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
I had a busy weekend, too, and didn't get a chance to post. I've been trying to get our hunting area cleaned up and food planted for the deer. It should be a good season this year.
The only bad thing that happened...I stepped off of the tractor for minute to put my iced tea down and got stung on the face by some sort of LARGE insect. that was the most painful insect bite I've ever had! It still hurts. Whew!
Anyway, Nancy & Elizabeth put up the Halloween decorations while Jacob and I worked on that, so the fall is coming together nicely.

I should be out working this morning but it was kind of chilly out so I decided that I would wait a couple of hours and then head out. That gave me just enough time to check out what was going on here this morning. So the plan for the rest of the day is to leave here in about a half hour and go do some work. Then it will be back home in time to make dinner and watch the evening news. Then it is monday night football. I am sure that I will hop back on here later to. Yet another week is upon us. We just keep ever marching onward towards Christmas Season 2009.
Days to the Season: 39
Days to Christmas Day: 81
Wow! Only two days off from the 90% home stretch Milestone to the Season. Right at our back door, now!
An unexpected rain has been falling here this morning (not predicted!) and we stand at 61 degrees, currently.
(Wouldn't you know it, I cleaned my car yesterday in anticipation of clear skies for a while. So it goes!)
