I have been helping my baby brother and his wife move into a new house this weekend. Is it wrong that I immediatly looked at there house and started telling them how I would decorate it for Christmas? LOL

Merciful Heavens! Over 18 hours without a thread post?? How can this be, so close to the Season?

How close? Well.....
Days to the Season: 40
Days to Christmas Day: 82
Now, UNDER half a week away from the 90% home stretch Milestone.
We are really moving right along!

Cooler this morning, at 56 degrees, currently.
Overcast, but we are being told no chance of rain until at least Tuesday.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend and.....
Have a Super Sunday, Friends!

Good Morning Friends!! Wow, 18 hours and no one was here! Ya know, I really enjoy coming on Saturday round noon and checking things out and then waiting to Sunday to come back and have a bunch to read while I'm drinking coffee! Kinda backfires on you when no one else gets to come...lol!

Binger.....pancakes, sausage, and coffee are on...come on over!

Good morning, everyone!

18 hours?! What happened to everyone?! The only excuse that I can see is that everyone has been busy putting their Christmas lights early. With that said, a happy 40 days until the Season to all!

Yesterday was a decent day. We scrimmaged against our rival cross-city university team and won both games quite handily. My intramural hockey team had its first game of the season last night, too. Unfortunately, we only had seven players and were absolutely exhausted! I could only come off the ice three times in 45 minutes.

Big day for football today. I have to head out around 3, which is a little disappointing, but at least I get to watch the beginning of the early games and then the end of the late games. I have not been able to watch anything aside from Monday Night Football the past two weeks since I have always been away!

I really wish I had a big breakfast cooking. Sounds delicious, coach! Kim is working this morning, so I can't just make a big breakfast for only myself. A high of 59F today with no wind. 40 percent chance of thunder-storms but it looks as if it will not happen. I've written too much.

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone! After all, there are only five Sundays left until we enter our favourite Season!

Scratch a Christmas fan and you'll find a Halloween fan underneath. I bet a lot of us are working on our Halloween decorations.

I forgot to tell you all but! 3/4 weeks ago I had my first mince pie since last Christmas because Mr Kipling are selling them already and Mr Kipling makes the best cakes and stuff! Oh I had forgotten how amazing they are!!! YUM!

Oh and also on Wednesday night the family stone was on film4 which I loved & watched because it's one of my favorites and also its Christmassy! It had put me in the mood all week so I watched a nightmare before Christmas & Elf on Friday night while I baby sat for my mum!

ALSO on music on demand on virgin media I've been looking for christmas music because my mum hides the Christmas CD until christmas because she doesn't want bad luck! But I've only been able to find whams "Last Christmas" and Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You" but I'm still on the look out for more!!

Hope everyones had a great day! xxx

YOU'VE NEVER HAD A MINCE PIE?! Oh my gosh!
Its like a cup of pastry and in the cup will be mince meat which is like raisins and sultanas and nuts and maybe a bit of tiny diced apples in like a gloopy texture and then ontop is a pastry lid with sugar sprinkled on top!
and you can warm them up in the microwave and have them with squirty cream and stuff! theyre soo tasty

MMMMM, love mince pies, and Lizzie describes them so well.
My gran (sadly not with us anymore) used to make the best I had ever tasted... wasn't Christmas until she would bring us some mid December...they were always warm too, that just set off the flavours!
Loved the sugar on top!

My Christmas season has already stared by the way...1st of October brings it in for me!

I was watching and then I was throwing stuff.:snowball:

He is going hunting with truex and his public relations guy after the race and hopefully he can find a four leaf clover out in the woods. With his luck recently though I wouldn't put the treestand real high. :?

I got caught up watching college football and then I had to run to the grocery store. I had planned on getting back on but just never got around to it.

A mincemeat pie is made from fruits that have been minced (cut into small pieces), and cooked with sugar and flavorings like lemon zest and brandy. The word "meat" is used in the old sense of any solid food (as when we refer to the "meat" of a nut). Jars of ready-made mincemeat pie filling are usually available in the baking goods or canned fruit aisles of grocery stores in autumn and winter.

Because the variety of fruits used, mincemeat pie has some of richest and most complex tastes. Martha Stewart's recipe.

I have never had tried mincemeat pie either but it looks and sounds really good. I might have to make one this christmas.
