We hit the grocery store last night and there it was!!

Our first sight and purchase of Egg Nog of the season!!

We will probably wait until the weekend though to crack it open and toast in the start of the holiday season.

Can't wait!!

Cheers!!

ML

I look foward to it during the holiday season, so I'm not sure I would want it around all year round. Too tempting.

LoL!

Cheers!!

Same here, Mac. A whole case of eggnog is in our local grocery store's refrigerated section!
I love the stuff!! (dare I say even more than tea??)

Good Morning, Friends and almost-to-the-Season buddies!!

And just how close are we???
Well, if you don't know by now, you're just not into this countdown thing!
Days to the Season: 3
Days to Christmas Day: 45.
UNDER HALF A WEEK, now!
WOW! Just WOW!

The promised rain is falling as I type this. It is supposed to continue all day tomorrow but we should have clear skies for the advent of Christmas Season 2009 on Friday.
We stand at 58 degrees currently here in Raleigh.

OK Guys, you have a Totally Terrific Tuesday!
.....and stay Tuned.........

CONTINUITY

In our ever more rapidly changing world, we strive to find an anchor - something that stays the same.
Like a rock to hold onto as the current washes us downstream to an uncertain future.

Let's face it. The world is really changing too fast.
There have been more physical, technological and cultural changes in the past 100 years than in all of man's history up to that time.

Is it any wonder that those few things that do not change are so precious to us?
Christmas.
Yes, it has evolved somewhat over our lifetimes, but far less than most institutions.
It is something dependable. Always there. And always the same time every year.

We are lucky and insightful here at My Merry Christmas.
I feel our group truly sees the value of Christmas and seeks to hold it dear all year long.
No, we are not crazy. We are smart and see the importance of Christmas and the Christmas Season.

Thanks for being here this year, everyone, to hang on together to the rock that is Christmas.

........And so we arrive at Day 3 before Christmas Season 2009.

Thanks Crown, that was wonderful! I've enjoyed your, Minta's and Binger's contributions immensely!

Welcome Wednesday. Dropped William off at day care. YES he is going now. William loves it. The person that works there asked jokingly if I have my tree up. I said yes and she was shocked. Doesnt seem to early to me! This weekend we are hoping to decorate the tree and get the rest of the decorations up. Its hard with a baby and sick wife! ALSO we have a leak in our roof. Leaking into the baby room and in the hallway. :( An Uncle is stopping by tomorrow to climb up on the roof and check it out. Hopefully it doesnt cost a lot to fix because we still need to finish our Christmas shopping! Oh well we are trying to stay positive! Have a good day all!

love your avvie brent xxx i went to see that movie with some kids from school last year it was so much fun xx

Thanks, it is one of my favourites. Even after 15-plus years, I still find it hilarious!

That was great, Crown!! Very true, too. These have all been so good!

Good morning, everyone!!

It's another sunny morning in Ottawa! Already 7C (45F) but only expected to reach a high of 8C (47F) today. The sun is forecasted to continue until Saturday when the high pressure system finally moves out and makes way for mid-50 temperatures and rain. Quite warm for what will be mid-November!

Speaking of which, we are only three days away! I really need to shape up and complete more Christmas-related activities. I still haven't started shopping, although I only need to purchase a few gifts. Hopefully I can start that this weekend. I am excited to spend Thursday evening with everyone. It will be my first time as a part of the Season Countdown Finale and I am sure it will be real fun!!

Enjoy your Tuesday, everyone!!

Good Tuesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's rainy to day, about 75°F, but they say this weekend will be cooler and clear, so that's something to look forward to.

I hope all works out for you, Undrtakr!

Have a great day, everyone!

Good afternoon!

down to the 40's in the countdown to Christmas!!
Nice day here again, just got back from a trip to a horse ranch with a bus load of kids. Watched a cat run past with a big mouse in his mouth. (not a real exciting day)

Hey everyone...Undrtakr hope everything works out for you! I have to take my oldest son, Evan ( 2 years old) to get tested for H1N1 tonight. I dont have any time left to take off work so I cant even be with him when he is feeling so sick today:-?. His Doctors office usually would wait a day or two before they brought him in to be tested but with me having a 3 month old they are quite worried and if he does test positive need to get meds in him ASAP in hopes that my 3 month old wont catch it..or else we will be in the hospital. Please pray for my son's. I know I can always count on you guys. You know I try to do everything I can to prevent something like this from happening... My husband and I got the vaccine and also my 2 1/2 year old but in between doses ( kids need 2 doses of the vaccine) we were around my best friend who tested positive last week. Of course she didnt feel sick and we had no idea she was infected at the time. I try to keep him outside at the park and wash his hands a lot and he still gets sick.. I know all kids do but this H1N1 really scares me. Sorry for dragging on.. hope everyone is having a better day then me!
