Prayers have gone out!

Minta, Binger and Crown...Thanks so much for your posts! I'm a little embarassed this year that I have been so absent...I've come by often and read posts but have rarely put my thoughts to words. This site was my internet rock for years and for some reason this year I have strayed, gotten busier, stayed away for way too long at a time...But I've very often thought of all of you and the countdown and when I read the posts in the single digit countdown it almost brings me to tears as I remember all of the years gone by...thanks for carrying the torch guys! I love you all in away that is too hard to explain...

God bless us all, everyone!

I will keep your family in my prayers Mschristmas.

Undtakr- I hope that it is a easy fix and that everything goes well for you.

Hey everyone...Undrtakr hope everything works out for you! I have to take my oldest son, Evan ( 2 years old) to get tested for H1N1 tonight. I dont have any time left to take off work so I cant even be with him when he is feeling so sick today:-?. His Doctors office usually would wait a day or two before they brought him in to be tested but with me having a 3 month old they are quite worried and if he does test positive need to get meds in him ASAP in hopes that my 3 month old wont catch it..or else we will be in the hospital. Please pray for my son's. I know I can always count on you guys. You know I try to do everything I can to prevent something like this from happening... My husband and I got the vaccine and also my 2 1/2 year old but in between doses ( kids need 2 doses of the vaccine) we were around my best friend who tested positive last week. Of course she didnt feel sick and we had no idea she was infected at the time. I try to keep him outside at the park and wash his hands a lot and he still gets sick.. I know all kids do but this H1N1 really scares me. Sorry for dragging on.. hope everyone is having a better day then me!

I'm so sorry you're son is sick. Prayers for you and your family have gone out.

Great Post Crown!!!!!!!!!! You, Binger, and Minta have all done a great job.

I just got back from working and I was glad to see how many people have started decorating their houses. In the 67 miles I drove this morning I came across 15 houses that were all decorated for christmas outside. It brought a smile to my face every time I passed one.

I´m praying the est comes back negative! Kandice had to see the doctor, too, today....and she was tested for it, too....and the final result comes back tomorrow...I<m so worried....she takes tamiflu already, because of her sensitive lungs and the bronchitis she always has...:(

More and more decorations are going up around town. Main Street in the town yesterday were putting up Christmas banners and light-up garland decorations (my favorite kind of decorations!) on the light posts. There is also a restaurant that goes all out for Christmas. They are putting more and more up every day.

Well we went hunting yesterday after my conference and daughter's piano lessons. We ended up getting a buck...got it home, skinned it then dealt with the meat and packaging. I'm not a big fan of deer meat but we cooked some up this evening and it tasted great. I really enjoy antelope, elk and moose isn't bad. But for some reason deer usually tastes much gamey. Anyhow...it was a fun day. And my daughter loved it. Hope everyone is having a nice and relaxing evening.

I will be here Thursday night for sure...who else?[/quote

I will try to be here. I have a doctor's appointment at 8:00 p.m. (Yes, you read that right), and then it's a 45-minute drive home. Plus, I have the last day to start the season off. I already have it written, but I keep checking and rechecking what I wrote!!!

:merry:

I agree that deer tastes more gamey. My great uncles are big hunters and fix vension all the time when I go visit them. I am not a big fan of it eating it in steaks. I like it ground up and mixed with hamburger and I love deer sasuage. I have never had antelope but I agree that elk and moose aren't bad. The one wild meat that I hated was black bear. I don't know if it was just the bear my uncle shot or if it is all of them but it smelled nasty, tasted terrible, and was really tough.
