Today is Remembrance Day.
This day one we set aside to remember and honor those who gave their lives so that we can live in freedom today.

Christmas is a day we set aside to remember that a child was born who would one day give His life so that we could live in freedom.

It is so amazing that one child could so influence this world. Almost everyone has heard about Him, whether they believe He is who He says He is or not.

He came to give the ultimate gift of love, and that love has spread like a ripple in a pond after a stone has been dropped into it.

Every Christmas we continue to add to that ripple of love, spreading it out ever further.

Joy to the world! The Lord is come:
let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare him room,

and heaven and nature sing.

Great Post Christmasstar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!cheesy

Very inspiring post! Thanks!

Only 2 days to go to are wonderful christmas season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not much going on today. I have to get my paperwork in order from yesterday and then I need to do some more cleaning. I don't understand how my apartment can get dirty so quick. I think there is a dust fairy here that comes around every night and covers everything in dust and cobwebs. Tonight I may go do some more christmas shopping and then it will be home to watch the country music awards. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great post, Christmasstar, for our next to the last day before the start of the season.

Well we went hunting yesterday after my conference and daughter's piano lessons. We ended up getting a buck...got it home, skinned it then dealt with the meat and packaging. I'm not a big fan of deer meat but we cooked some up this evening and it tasted great. I really enjoy antelope, elk and moose isn't bad. But for some reason deer usually tastes much gamey. Anyhow...it was a fun day. And my daughter loved it. Hope everyone is having a nice and relaxing evening.
I like it as fried cubed steak, and tenderloin on the grill. We use the ground meat for spaghetti and chili. Good stuff!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's another rainy day day here in south Georgia, but they are promising a clear, cool weekend. That sounds good to me.

Have I mentioned lately how much I dislike the end of daylight savings time?:-?

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Great post, Christmasstar! You have represented this important day very well. I've been honouring my poppy for the past week or so. It's meant a lot more to me since my grandfather past away - he was in WWII.

MsChristmas, I hope that it is nothing as serious as H1N1 and that your son feels better very soon!

Track-glad Kandice is feeling better, too.

So many different comments. It's sad that the flu season is coming on very strong this year. With good spirits, however, everything will be defeated!

Good morning, everyone!!

Two more days until our Season begins! Very hard to believe. So many more posts today, too. The count is constantly increasing by the hour! Much more traffic, it seems. It's another beautiful day in Ottawa. Sunny skies and a temperature currently of 4C (39F). We shall reach the high 40s, which is perfect for a November day.

It's very nice to hear that everyone is expected to be here for the completion of the countdown. It will be an honour to ring in the joy of the Christmas Season with you all.

On another note, Kim and I are going to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra this evening. It's going to be a fine show. We're both quite excited. Hopefully they don't play a whole lot from their new album since it's not as Christmassy as everything else. Still, it will be a great spectacle. It will be both our first times, too, so we'll definitely remember this experience! Subsequently, it will also be the "first" time I listen to Christmas music this year. I have sneaked only about three or four songs in there the past two months, but this will be my first lengthly experience. The classic and modern music will begin on Friday!

Only two more days. Have a great Wednesday, everyone!

Lucky you! They won't come close enough to us to justify the expense.:-?

Wow!
(Better go bank some sleep in preparation!)

Hard to believe tomorrow will mark the 1/2 point to Christmas since my first visit back here for this year. I said it then and I'm saying it again now, Christmas will be here before you know. Can wait to celebrate the start of the season this weekend with a nice eggnog.

Cheers!!

I'll make sure to double the enjoyment in that case, Brad!

Nice! Glad to see that you could holdoff, too. A few of my friends couldn't wait and already started listening. It makes me smile to hear that people who are not associated with the board love Christmas just as much as we do. Friday can't come soon enough, though. The music will make me smile for a month and a half!
