I'm just glad the rain's disappeared for a bit here in the South-East ... even if it's only a brief respite! But, still, fingers crossed it might get a bit more chilly/frosty/seasonal as we head towards Christmas. There's nothing like getting yourself a nice pair of chapped lips, cracked dried hands and permanently rosey cheeks to get you in the festive spirit! Or is that just me? :)

Good morning, everyone!!

The 27th already!? Although I am about six hours north of Star, it is not snowing in Ottawa. Only rain. I woke up a little late today and really have to hurry to get to the gym. I wanted to be in there by 11 at the latest. Oh well. The sleep has worked great benefits. I actually feel rested for once.

Another busy day for me. No more work for the rest of the year, but I really have to focus on an essay that I must have done by next Friday since I am leaving for home then. As long as I focus on it for these two straight days, I should be done by Tuesday at the latest, which would be fantastic! A big stress reliever for sure!

Kim and I have some shopping to do tomorrow. We've both realized that presents must be purchased! It is a little later than usual for us, but at least it's getting done before December! Anyway, I need to get my stuff ready for a nice gym and library filled day.

To everyone in the States, continue enjoying your holidays!!! Have a fantastic day everyone!!

Good evening everyone! I'm very excited right now, firstly, we had to delay our Thanksgiving a couple of days this year and so we're having our Thanksgiving feast together tomorrow, can't wait!! Secondly, I went shopping with my parents today and there was just so much christmas decorations, candies, chocolates, housewares etc I was in shopping heaven! Not only did I manage to buy quite a few christmas chocolate goodies, but my mom, as my christmas present this year, bought me some christmas plates and mugs!! When I get back up to Edinburgh hopefully I'll be able to get some photos and post them here, they're just too cute! :)

Hope everyone's having a lovely day! :tree:

Hey all, Its snowing here too! Yay! I found some Christmas music on the radio on the drive in to work. So that made me happy. Have a great friday!

For the first, and probably last, time in my life, I want Black Friday shopping. I got up at 2:50 a.m., and was outside Old Navy by 3:20. The store had opened twenty minutes earlier, but already I had to wait in line for twenty minutes just to get in. The store was packed to the limit the fire marshal would allow, and it was hard to maneuver among the aisles, racks, and tables, and a lot of merchandise had been dropped carelessly onto the floor. By 4 a.m. I was done shopping there, not really finding what I wanted, but I picked up two pairs of sweat pants at half price and started to look for the end of what looked like a long line from the checkout counters. The queue stretched all the way from the front of the store to the back, curved around, and returned to the front along a different aisle. I waited in line ninety minutes before reaching the checkout counter. By then it was after 5 a.m., and most of the stores at the mall were open with no shortage of shoppers. The large fireplace in the middle of the food court was an unexpected pleasure on this cold, rainy and still dark morning, so I sat down and ate breakfast. Then off to Macy's, passing Santa's village, unoccupied by Santa or his elves at this early hour. Macy's was surprisingly un-Chrismassy except for the holiday music playing. Didn't see any great bargains in men's clothing that I wanted, and since I was tired, I decided to call it a day — if you can call it that before dawn.

Like streaking or spring break in Florida, Black Friday shopping is something you may want to try once, but not a second time.

Hope all my Neighbors to the south had an amazing thanksgiving & a successful black friday!!!

I can't believe its Nov 27th already!!! This month FLEW by! I am stressing out a little bit, because usually by this time of year I am finished christmas shopping! I am having the hardest time thinking of what to buy people this year:-?

I did not get a chance to visit via computer with my Christmas friends yesterday, but I trust that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I sure did! We had maple brined turkey, homemade turkey gravy, Asiago-garlic smashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, Italian sausage-rice stuffing, corn, sweet potatoes, buttery homemade rolls, homemade cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. I did dishes as I went along, but hubby took over at the end of the meal. What a pleasure! The local stations have started Christmas music earlier than ever before!! Woo Hoo!

finished all my shopping today- DONE.. all 100%!!

YABBA~~~

crowds here were't outof control.. I parked right at the door!

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY # 16

Good Morning, Friends and post-Thanksgiving Christmas Anticipators!

I hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start and that all of you had a successful Black Friday.
But not to worry if you didn't - you still have a least a few more shopping opportunities!

Cold here in Raleigh at this hour where we stand at 42 degrees under sunny skies.
We should have a dry couple of days until rain returns on Monday.

Days to Christmas Day: 27
(Less than 4 weeks now! Get that shopping done and those cameras snapping. Help support your friendly local Christmas Blossosms thread!)

Have a Stupendous Saturday, Everyone!
