Christmas Countdown - 2009

only 29 days til Christmas...oh how I love that
 
Time for this guy to get a haircut. Last night at the supermarket, I was wearing my winter coat and putting a dollar into the Salvation Army pot. The bell-ringer, who had been talking to someone, turned and saw me from behind and said, "Thank you, ma'am." :-? I turned around and said, "What?" "Er, sir."
 
Wow can thanksgiving really be tommorrow. Where has the year gone. Well decided to get the tree down yesterday and set it up. I always wait until black friday but I just couldn't wait any longer this year. It was a good thing that I did get it out early. When I plugged it in five of the branches would not light up. I spent the next three hours going through all the bulbs on those five branches with my light checker. There was 44 bad bulbs on those five branches. They all worked fine when I put it up last year so I don't know what happened. They were in the middle of the strand and the lights on either side worked fine. I haven't got around to decorating it yet but it is up and lighting up my living room. This morning I have been in the kitchen cooking. I made up my vegetable au gratin, baked corn , and stuffing. I will go out to my sisters tonight to get the turkey ready and then it is home to get some rest. Tommorrow looks like it will start early and not end until some time friday afternoon. There are some things that I want to go buy at 6am tommorrow and then I will be at toys'r'us at midnight tommorrow night. Then it will be on to all of the other sales friday morning. I see alot of caffeine in my future over the next couple of days. I hope everyone has a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everybody!! I have been away from here for a good while now, It's been a hectic year..but it has calmed down now thank goodness!! hehe. Well it's great to be back on here and I better get catched up with you folks!! I hope you're all well and Christmas is almost here way hey!! :dance:

Doxie, You can always tell people your celibrating with your yank-cousins from the colonies. It doesn't matter, Brit or Yank, we all have so much to be thankful for.

all my christmas friends in the US - have a wonderful thanksgiving, lots of love and i hope and your family have the best one yet!

well, i am soooo excited for this coming saturday, our local village is lighting up the christmas tree, it's going to be a great afternoon as santa comes around on his sleigh with chocolates for the children, the local choir will be singing christmas carols and us adults get free mulled wine and mince pies. good times cheesy

still can't believe it's here again, it's come around extra quickly this year and i for one am going to enjoy every second, i suggest you do the same!

Good evening, everyone! HAPPY ONE MONTH UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!

A very busy day. I had to mail two applications for teachers college. Quite stressful. Hopefully I can get in! Otherwise, I had to work on a few assignments. It's nice to have a Wednesday off! I have to get used to it though because I will have them off for the next month!!

Nice to read that everyone is excited for Thanksgiving and preparing well for tomorrow. Obviously us Canadians are excited for our next big meal, but it will have to wait for another month. Same for our European friends, too!

Hi everyone....finally got a free minute to get on here today. Have been on the go all dat with last minute shopping cleaning and just spent the last 3 hours in the kitchen getting ready for tomorrow. The pumpkin pies are done and the sweet potato and apple crumb pies are in the oven. French toast casserole and the pepperoni breads are all set and chilling in the frig waiting to baked tomorrow morning.
Man I am exhausted..... still need to set up the coffee pot for tomorrow morning...getting up early.... in case I don't make it on here tomorrow....

HAPPY THANKSGIVING Everyone!!!!!!!!
 
WHEW! What a day! I'm exhausted! Made us breakfast for today and made us breakfast for tomorrow...made my secret baked beans....chili for supper tonight...and sausage balls for tomorrow with dip...

In between all of that...plugged up lights....cleaned up the house...went to visit with my brother who made it in today....and made a Christmas treat....

Tomorrow....go Cowboys!


I am thankful for the people I work with and work for….I am thankful for the greatest kids in the world at our school….I am thankful that my friends are happy and healthy…I am thankful that I have a brother who is wildly successful in his field….I am thankful that I have two parents that are the best…and a wife I think hung the moon…and I am very thankful that I found you! I hope you are as blessed as I am!

anyways happy 1 month till Christmas!!!!! my dad started hanging christmas lights outside today! all the decorating inside is done, I also decorated my job! Hung up stockings, fake presents & Garland (soon...still have to get around to that):rudolph:...also played music at work today! My co workers are finally getting into the spirit!
 
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends here in the USA. I hope you have all have a wonderful day full of family and good food. I have been up since 4 am and have been out shopping to two stores already. Now it is time to start looking over the paper and plan out the shopping trips for tommorrow. I know that I will be at toy r us at midnight tonight so it is just a matter of where am I going after that. I am hoping to get a nap in sometime today so I am not up from 4am today until sometime tommorrow afternoon. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
