Christmas Countdown - 2010

It's cold out!!!

My trees are still up as I, too, am in no hurry to take them down :)

Busy day ahead of me - I'm organizing big time!!! Lots of paperwork to do today.

Yesterday I put a bookcase together. In the final step it says limited to 65lbs. I knew there had to be a catch some where as every thing was going so smoothly. It was to hold a lot of my cookbooks - so I guess a lot of them will still be stacked on the floor. It looks nice, though, and I was able to eliminate a file cabinet as it was basically used to stack books on.

Fifty-three posts on January 1st.
That's more than DOUBLE our last year's posting rate!
Incredible.
(Of course, I realize that won't hold through the year but it's certainly a fantastic start!)

OK, back in the groove:

Days to the Season: 315
Days to Christmas Day:357

Ah! That felt good.
And what feels even better is realizing that our first Milestone, the 300-day window to the Season, arrives just 2 weeks from tomorrow!
(Take that, post-Christmas blues!)

Cold and still getting colder.
We currently stand at 2 degrees below freezing under calm, sunny skies.
The weather service still shows lows tonight and tomorrow night around 20. No precip, though.

Took all my Christmas decorations down this morning and will likely take care of my father's later today or tomorrow.
(Sad, but oh-so-necessary for keeping the Christmas Season special!)
 
Good Morning. I agree Crown..this thread is moving right along. A dreary day here today with a little wind. Not sure if I will start taking Christmas decor down today or not. I don't feel like doing much but loungin' around. I hope everyone has a super weekend!

I will probably take down a few more decorations today. I think the tree will stay up awhile longer tho!
 
Already after lunch....

and I have not had lunch yet!

It is a very chilly day here too at -10c and with the wind kicking up it will be even colder. Definitely January!!

Got some paper work done for Monday's TOPS meeting. Did some grocery shopping and now am going to try my new pasta attachment that I got for Christmas. (goes with my kitchen aid mixer) Going to make lasagna for dinner. cheesy
 
Hey everyone! I am being lazy this morning. I'm just sitting around watching my hubby and son play video games and playing on the computer. I have to go back to work Monday...yuck. I hope you all have a great weekend.

My husband built me four bookcases to hold my 1500 plus cookbooks!!!
 
I just got done taking down the rest of my christmas decorations and putting them away. My apartment looks so bare now that it is kind of depressing. At least I have it decorated in a red, green, and gold scheme all year to keep a little bit of the christmas spirit going. I plan on just relaxing the rest of the day and then tomorrow I will move my furniture back to how I keep it the rest of the year. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Well friends, it official, I'm crazy. It's 7:30 and the temp outside is 21 F (I think that is -6 C) and I am getting ready to go sit outside all day at a football game. Parking at this stadium is awful so we are arriving there around noon and the game doesn't start until 4:30. That wait will at least be warm sitting inside our vehicle. Excited as I can be about the game, just not the weather.

It is cold here to. The high today is going to be 19 and the warmest day of the week is gong to be 25.
