Being on here is rather relaxing, my own little get away from the real world for a bit hahaha, Rather lovely if you ask mecheesy

I see it's snowing down south again!! It's crazy.. Our town has had maybe 2 snowfalls, and they last about a day..and then poof gone. Which is VERY unusual for us at this time of year...last year we had about 2 ft. of snow for like...3 months i swear, this year.. you'd never know!
Actually in fact if anything, it's kinda... warmer temperatures, okay not warm warm..but i think its warm for this time of year..like between 8-12 degrees celcius... Straaaaange

Couldn't agree with you more on this being an escape....

I'm off to start another duty basketball day...will leave here right after school to travel for 2 hours, watch 3 games, travel back 2 hours....hope to be home around midnight (lol....actually 10)...see you then!

Good Morning, Good Morning, my Friends!

'Tis once again the Eve of the Weekend.
That's right, it's Friday! F-R-I-D-A-Y, Friday, Friday, Friday!

Any weekend plans besides watching the Super Bowl?
I am in the enviable position of being able to just enjoy the game regardless of outcome.
On the one hand, I have loved the Colts ever since I was a child. On the other, I enjoy seeing underdogs and teams that have never won the Super Bowl come through and seize their first time victory.

Rain last night and this morning. Thirty-Seven on my thermometer at the moment. Possibly more snow for late today and Saturday but they say the system is much weaker than the one last Friday.

Another scary fire nearby!
If you recall, I wrote back in March of 2008 about the apartment building next to my condo complex burning down.
Well, as I was leaving this morning I saw smoke and heard fire trucks. This time, a garage in the apartment complex directly across the street was on fire with flames shooting through the roof! I was not worried this time as there was no wind and the complex is uphill from me.
The firefighters quickly got it under control and it was confined to the garage area.
Gee! Two fires so close in as many years!

The snow has started here now and it is starting to stick to some of the cars. It looks like we are going to miss out on the ice so we caught a break there. They are still saying we could 5 inches over the next seven hours though and that everyones drive home from work is going to be a nasty one.

Well, it's very windy here, overcast, and they say to expect several inches of rain tonight. :-?

But, hey, the Superbowl is Sunday! To tell you the truth, I don't care about football at all, but I like the SB, if only for the commercials and the hot wings!

My laptop is fried! I haven't been on since yesterday morning. Spent most the day yesterday trying to transfer pictures and documents to a disc. Took my computer to Geek Squad this morning for them to take a look at it. They said it might be 2 weeks until I get it back! Thank God I have a 3 year warranty on it. I will be sharing hubbys comp until I get mine back.

Scary situation with the fire so close. Glad you were in safe distance.

My weekend will be busy. Saturday is fun day for my husband and I. First errands then go out to eat and find somthing fun to do then come home and relax. Sunday morning will be church then right after that straight to work. I will be off in time for the Super Bowl.

The snow is really starting to come down now. They are now saying that we will get 9 inches instead of the 7 they were calling for earlier. I just talked to my sister and she said that the roads are getting nasty. She was on her way to pick up my niece from pre school. They dismissed early like just about every school around now.

Nothing really caught my eye...which is good I suppose because I'm trying to down size on things...*L* I'm such a pack rat at times. Hope everyone is having a pleasant afternoon.

Been a lazy day here. I took daughter to school this morning and then went to the church rummage sale. Picked up a few things is all. Nothing really caught my eye...which is good I suppose because I'm trying to down size on things...*L* I'm such a pack rat at times. Hope everyone is having a pleasant afternoon.

I made myself a deal this new decade to finally overcome being a "pack rat". I was really bad 10 years ago then got better over the years but still had a problem accumulating things I didn't need. I have actually got rid of so much since January 1st and simplified things by keeping only what I need. A great feeling! I still have a few more cabinets and drawers to go through and toss some more things out. The only thing I will remain a pack rat with is all my Christmas stuff. I NEED ALL THAT! cheesy

Well this is defintely a wet heavy snow. I just measured 3 inches when I went out and it nearly broke my snow shovel. I hate to see what it is going to be like if we get another 6 inches on top of this overnite.
