Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends.
I'm a pall bearer in my Aunt Dot's funeral this morning. She was a wonderful lady who gave invaluable emotional support to my mom after my daddy passed away. She was always a lot of fun, and we even took her on vacation with us sometimes. We'll really miss her.
It's supposed to be a beautiful day today. I hope you all have a good one!

Getting mighty close to the 300-day Christmas Day Milestone, Guys!
Then really not long at all to the 1/3 Season mark. Wow!
My backdoor thermometer stands at just over 45 degrees, and as I mentioned before, it is rather cloudy.
The weather service says no rain today, but like my coffee-twisted twin in that great state to the north, we have the possiblity of some frozen precip by Thursday.
At least the end of Feb is just around the corner. How much cold weather can there be after that? (Famous last words!)

I'm sorry about your aunt. To me the worse part of growing older is watching your family members age and eventually losing them. The good part is that, as Christians, we know they are in a better place and we will soon join them.
We're supposed to get a little more snow tonight and tomorrow. My son will be at middle school baseball practice in the snow. Two weeks until their first game...
I'm sorry to hear of her passing. It sounds like she was a beautiful person who led a full life, and cared for others. Our loss is heaven's gain.

First, I must say my sympathies are with you, Brad. That must be tough. Nice to knwo she treated her time on earth well...
Well, I did not get to go home due to the inability to secure rides.. However, I did manage to vanish for about five days. I was both busy and lazy at the same time! I needed those days to just rest and re-gain some energy as the next week and March are going to be hectic times for me! I have a major presentation next Tuesday and then my last batch of essays to write as an undergrad student at Carleton. Of course, there are two tournaments we must attend in March, one in April and then one in May - possibly two!
While the US has been warming up and reaching "tropical" temperatures, to quote Binger, we're getting hit with some wet snow flurries in Ottawa. It's not pretty. Still, I cannot really complain since we've had a beautiful February up until this point. We're forecasted to get about 20-30 cms this week. There goes the visible patches of green grass. Thankfully, however, the temperature should stay around the freezing mark, which means that it should not last long after it has finished! I am still hoping for an early Spring!!

Good morning everyone!!! I don't have a whole lot on the agenda for today or for this week really. Mom gets her foot operated on again three weeks from today so most of the time between now and then will be spent getting everything ready. I think that I am going to make up some meals and throw them in the freezer for the first couple of days after she has surgery. I also need to get her walker out of the attic and put it back together. We also learned last time that she needs hand rails in the bathroom so I need to go get a couple and put them up. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well It looks like I get to babysit tonight. Both of my nieces have been sick and grumpy the last couple of days so hopefully they will be good tonight. My sister wants to go look for a new laptop and I told her that I would go pick one out for her but she would rather get away from the kids and look for herself.
Doing a lot better, thanks! I did get some stuff done yesterday.

Checking in again from Wisconsin. Still feels like it was just Christmas time. I saw a house last weekend that still had a lit tree up inside (even though it's February, it still looked nice to me!) My sister hasn't been home to visit since Christmas, and she reminded me that when she comes home this weekend, she will already be 1/6 of the way back to her Christmas vacation. Hard to believe.
Hopefully I'll get back to the forums sooner than later. Been busy with the new job and daughter. Take care all!
